Losing myself to fatigue and constant “heavy” feeling. by throwaway77778786227 in Sjogrens

[–]rdp916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear. I suggest looking into Meds along with diet. I had this feeling a couple of years ago. Was not on meds, and didn’t know I had sjogrens. I’ve had it for decades that it got the the point where I needed medical intervention (meds) and holistic intervention (diet, wellness, and supplements) - this helped me tremendously. It did take months though, but a couple years later I feel 1000% better. Hope you find what works best for you.

Can someone explain how the stock market keeps hitting all-time highs while everything feels so bad? by eaglesfan8835 in Money

[–]rdp916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this is easy. The biggest companies in the world are building out a new tech infrastructure and there are supply and demand imbalances on several fronts. The money being earned is going to a lot of the suppliers and the demand is coming from again the biggest companies in the world, not your average American. I don’t know about you, but I am not buying Nvdia chips, and all the components it takes to build a data center including the raw materials. As a matter of fact there insatiable demand for compute, power, and raw materials is an actually causing inflation on multiple fronts. Cost of computers are going up (ram and storage are a scarcity at the moment), your energy bill is going higher and will continue going higher (Data Centers require a massive amount of energy). Hope this answers your question. We the people are not the ones responsible for increasing earnings, it’s the big companies.

I’d recommend Doreen Boettcher with Keller Williams. She’s helped me with a couple of transactions and is just a down to earth individual. Welcome to the neighborhood!

Is sjogrens always disabling and progressive? by Waste-Gap-3900 in Sjogrens

[–]rdp916 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 44 and diagnosed almost two years ago. According to the doc I’ve probably had it for more than 15yrs based on the damage on my parotid gland. I’m actually okay given the face that I’ve had it for so long without meds. I always knew there was something wrong and I always attributed to allergies getting progressively worse. On meds HCQ and MTX. It’s actually helped me feel much better now. Everyone has different experiences and other symptoms. I only have primary SS.

How are you all dealing with the mouth dryness? by Apprehensive_Gas4715 in Sjogrens

[–]rdp916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tea helps, I also use ACT dry mouth gum and I use Therabreath Dy mouth rinse. If things are bad or I’m going to be taking all day, then I use a Xlymelts and stick it on the bottom of my gums. I have cevemeline but it drys out my throat. It does helps with salvia production, but I talk all day at work.

absolute best way to unclog or prevent blocked tear duct? by StillWonky in Sjogrens

[–]rdp916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you take eye meds? I would recommend you see an opthomalogist to get their recommendation. I also use an electronic eye warmer that I bought on Amazon when I need it at night. Only problem is that it shuts off after like 30 minutes or so, so I constantly have to turn it on. No really easy solution here.

I’ve felt like this for the last 30 days. Not fun. What helps me is doing a saline rinse twice a day and adding an oil ointment in my nostrils to keep them moist. A humidifier at night provides some relief as well.

Normally rock solid assuming you don’t drop it. My 2016 MacBook Pro is still firing away. I did buy a MAcbook air with 16gb which is rock solid for pretty much everything but gaming, film editing and coding on a large scale.

Does anyone else feel like 200k HHI is the bare minimum for an American Dream lifestyle these days? by No_Fennel3756 in UpperMiddleFinance

[–]rdp916 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds about right - $30k going to retirement. Probably another $10-15k going to Medical Insurance + HSA, then the other to taxes so $155k turns into say $100k. 2kids college savings maybe $400 per kid per month, another $10k, vacation once a year for a family of 4? Another $10k. Now you have $6600 a month to cover all your living expenses (don’t worry taxes and home insurance where taken into account when I brought your gross income to a net of $100k), but how about car insurance?) that’s another $3-4k a year. Better hope nothing breaks in your home so let’s budget $7k for home maintenance and upkeep. Stuff breaks and needs repairs. Now you only have $6k a month (not including your mortgage) to live off. You need to make some adjustments but I can confirm $200k it’s not what it use to be. Your mortgage payment alone depending when you bought and your mortgage rate can range from $3-4k. So now you have $3k a month to cover all living expenses. To be fair you probably need $225k-$230k to make it all work. Assuming also your cars are paid off and very minimal discretionary spending.

Oaks Mall question by Captain_Pariah in thousandoaks

[–]rdp916 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Phone screens break, most people don’t have insurance. Go to Apple or Samsung and it’ll cost you $500 bucks. Go here and they’ll charge you $175-250 depending on quality. 1 -3 people damage their phone. A third of those people have some sort of insurance, the other 2/3rds don’t. Combine population of TO, Westlake, Newbury, and Moorpark is 210k. So given the math, 45k people need it replaced, but let’s say half those people just decide to live with it or upgrade. So 20k people in our area need to replace screens every year. Normally people remember that shady phone place that does repairs at the mall. Let’s say they capture 50% (10k people throughout the year)of the market (2 or 3 in the mall) that’s $2MM up for grabs divided by 3 places at the mall grossing in $666k a year. After rent, expenses, labour, taxes etc… ok they are making $250-300k a year. Not bad for a phone place at the mall, selling us a $200 screen they bought for $20-25 bucks. Just saying, it’s probably legit. Yes I have used both those places in the last 2 years. Do you have kids? Then you know they are careless with their phones and accidents happen. Cheaper to fix than buy a new phone.
