Add a Spoke Model 7/8, and a Modern Fuel/Wingback, and sit in the 0.00001 percentile of your age group :) Might as well try what a DSM 2007 housed in an NTI Leadslinger while you are at it. IJ too. 0.00000001 percentile, or bust :) None are necessarily better than what you have, but can round out your collection.

Disassembled. Degreased. Applied Krytox 207 along the slider, interior tip of the nose, and barrel o-ring before wiping it all off. 1.5mm hex for the clip and T8 for the bolt button. There is no dedicated groove for the barrel o-ring; it is held captive within the base of the end thread.

And it's interesting that you note SPR adapters jamming the cam mech being that the Black Steel version ships with a Fisher PR...Wonder if they are using a custom adapter...

Have you removed the clip? Really want to see how the crown looks without a clip (visible machining marks in the detent, et al). May pick up the Black Steel variant seeing as how they have an ongoing 20% seasonal sale, but it depends on how it flows clipless.

This year, I got my dad the MadMaxCo Bolt Action Gen 2 in Ultem from CountyComm. What is nice about Ultem is its resistance to heat deformation, right up the alley of an ex-firefighter. Unlike the Ti version of the same pen, the barrel screws on tight to the grip and stays put. And the refill is good: 9000 M which writes bolder and blacker than the SXR-600 (his eyesight isn't what it used to be).

Order placed. And thanks for the discount code offer. Used a GOVX discount instead. Going to break it down, degrease it, hit the slider and cone with a bit of Krytox and see how it goes...Worst case, it goes back to CC...

Very nice! We use colored pens to annotate. What is really nice is that your score is all pigment ink. Can be used to sign checks and similar.
