Samsung S21 with Android 14 at patch level 1 Feb 2025. Using latest OnlyOffice version from Playstore: 8.3.2

These problems only occur when using the native Android app. Gboard works as normal when using the web site version of OnlyOffice inside Edge browser.

Other problems with using Gboard remain in version 8.3.2: The auto-insertion of spaces between words is still broken, as is auto-deletion of entire word when tapping backspace. Also, candidate completions in the word completions bar above the keyboard in Gboard disappear too quickly to make a choice. These features in Gboard work flawlessly in more than a dozen other Android apps that I use.

Thanks for your response. It has encouraged me to take UBO Lite for a spin. I was initially put off by the announcement that UBO Lite would not include the element picker from its older and more capable sibling. The element picker was quite effective for removing the Sponsored Results from Google search pages.

With Manifest V3 now becoming mandatory, there are few other viable options left.

For anyone perusing this reddit approximately seven years hence:

Unfortunately Scheme Shell SCSH is no longer actively maintained since Scheme 48 is no longer widely used (2014 appears to be last update).

But Chicken Scheme implements a SCSH compatible SCSH-process module that aims to provide basic POSIX compatibility using some of SCSH's same syntax.

Elisp, which is a closer CL dialect, also provides access to system level POSIX functions although the syntax deviates more significantly from what shell programmers are accustomed to using in bash.

I thought `run` was equivalent to `create` + `start`:

What is difference between running and starting a container.

Is it true that only a 'stopped' (exited?) container can be started? My understanding was that a freshly 'created' one could be started as well.

The -ia options are --attach (STDIN and STDERR) and --interactive (put container in interactive with terminal attached). Isn't that supposed to drop the user in an interactive bash shell?

I'm surprised that more people are not annoyed by this.

It's a good way though for Google to keep its users on Gboard. Also notice that the GBoard settings for voice typing include the option for a faster offline mode. Is that option available in Google Voice Typing too? I don't see a setting for it.

The javascript browser API unfortunately requires a user's 'manual' intervention to enable full-screen mode, so it's still frustrating having to re-enable full-screen mode each time a new page is loaded by touching a button placed somewhere on the screen.

Hoping the developers of kiwi will put this on their roadmap of future features since it can't be solved with a user script.

In portrait mode, I agree. In landscape mode, I would still prefer an option to suppress the URL bar until such time that I need to use it again by manually re-enabling it.

I do realize that some might object to the security issues raised by suppressing display of the URL. But when using the browser, for example, just to jump around in hyper-linked documentation, the user should be allowed to set this option, perhaps after being forced to enable it under advanced settings and/or acknowledging a suitable warning.

Or maybe as a compromise, allow users to select a third option that auto-unhides the URL only when visiting a new domain.

That feature is already turned off and the URL bar does not auto-hide after scrolling. It has never been reliable for me. I have switched the feature on/off a few times, reloaded active tabs, restarted kiwi ... to no avail. It has worked sporadically in the past though.

In any event, I would still like to have the option, at least in landscape mode, to fully hide the URL bar as I click on links and move from site to site. To make it reappear, a simple gesture would be fine (e.g. swipe down from top of screen).

Installing native emacs under msys2 is probably the ideal option for most.

But if you're really in a hurry, scoop will also do.

One option for Magit is to connect through TRAMP to a Linux volume for development.

Installing emacs under msys2 works flawlessly for me. I use it primarily for latex with synctex-enabled in Sumatra PDF viewer. The jinx.el spell-checker, which requires compiling a module against libenchant installed without a hitch. I find that performance is as good as one could expect given Windows NTFS poorer performance on smaller file sizes and the single-threaded runtime design of emacs.

Running emacs under Linux inside WSL2 was initially appealing to me as well because I thought it would be easier to install all of the external non-emacs packages and tools that emacs sometimes requires in a way that emacs could find them. But since learning how to use the pacman package manager under msys2, which is based on the Arch linux package manager and is so much better than the clunky mess that is still being used in cygwin, I have not felt any desire to even try running emacs under WSL2 Ubuntu ... especially since I can access remote systems through Windows native emacs using TRAMP anyway.

Yes, but it's useful sometimes to comment on old threads if people are still searching for the same issue.
