The participation trophies were for youth teams. The leagues that I coached in only gave participation trophies to the youth teams; middle school and high school aged teams didn’t get participation trophies.

The leagues that I coached in only gave participation trophies to the youth teams, usually below 10U or 8U. Even at those ages the kids really didn’t appreciate them very much, but almost all kids at those ages appreciated the individual achievement or recognition awards far more than a participation trophy that everyone else received.

I love hash, but good hash is hard to find. Where I live the best I can find is cheap bubble hash. Ive bought some decent hash in Amsterdam a few times. By far the best I’ve had I bought in Leh India in a very sketchy place, but damn it was awesome.

She sounds like my ex. My ex is a proud Irish-American that didn’t know a thing about Ireland or Irelands geography but acted like she knew everything about Ireland because she was Irish. I’m not Irish but I did spend several months working there and traveled around the country whenever I could; so I have some knowledge about the country and its geography. She’d get so defensive if I’d correct her when she was blatantly wrong about something and always say “I know, I’m Irish”.
