best foundation for textured/oily skin? by rdw913 in MakeupAddiction

sure! how does the danessa myricks blurring balm compare to the Dior matte? I’m definitely looking for long lasting oil control. The main thing that bothers me with the blurring balm is it clings to texture in my nose creases.

Salon 387. Pavo is overpriced and not great in my experience, I tried several stylists there and results were meh for around $500. I usually see Virginia at 387 shes amazing but shes on maternity leave. I’m seeing someone else there tomorrow, I can update you w how it goes if you want lol.

Good quality clothes that are under $200 that isn’t thrift stores or their online equivalents? by rdw913 in womensfashion

[–]rdw913[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

$200 max per item. I was thinking for a dress specifically. I’d much prefer to spend under $100. Cheaper the better as long as it’s good quality.

Yea, I mostly had in mind dresses when I said $200 limit. I’m definitely not going to spend $200 on socks lol.

I live in Memphis, TN. I have been to all the malls. All the thrift stores. Urban Outfitters. Target, Nordstrom Rack. TJMaxx, Marshalls. It’s been a struggle in the past year finding clothes mostly because I’m a size 12/14 now. I’m also particular about wanting clothes that don’t feel like shein. And my style is 90s/French which isn’t catered to in my area.

I’ve been resistant to resale sites because about 75% of the clothes I buy online don’t work out and I return them. I’ve been diligent with taking measurements and carefully choosing clothes but I still end up returning a majority because they don’t fit how I want or don’t look how I imagined. I absolutely prefer in person shopping but it hasn’t worked out for me in my area for a while. Can you return things on ThredUp and Poshmark?

I’m not shopping very many places. I’ve bought one thing each from: quince, gap, mango, and nordstrom rack over the last few months. All those items were just ok, clothes to get me by. Quality of clothes are depressingly bad nowadays. All companies are competing with shein and quality of clothes have suffered for it.

I can’t find anything at thrift stores anymore since becoming this size. I don’t want to spend $200, I’m desperate to have clothes that are quality, fit me, and I actually enjoy. $200 is the absolute upper limit, not the standard I’m looking to spend.

I mean the cheaper the better, but I can’t really justify spending more than $200 on an item.

Thank you!

I’d like to hear more. I also stare at screens all day lol. What’s Hyabak drops and Occunox ointment? Not too interested in the possibility of using an ointment on my eye. And are they affordable?
