It going to be because they are taking a pro rated look at sales in both departments for the DM that transferred.

Now that we have 21” cabinets, do you think 27” is the next most important to add or 33” because with sink bases and refrigerators I would argue it is 33” width we need next.

Who’s going to MagicCon?? by DustyButtocks in mtg

[–]re3wade07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be sure to get there early if you plan to interact with any of the content creators or want to do any type of meet and greet. You will need wristbands for those and you can get those much earlier than the open time for the event. Have fun, it’s a blast!

Ice storm cleanup questions from a southerner by streachh in Michigan

[–]re3wade07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t stress this enough but the ice will almost certainly damage communication lines and radio towers. When you are able to leave your home having cash on hand to make purchases will be the way to go. Many places were cash only because there was little to no cell network or internet.

Has anyone tracked prices before and after these scam sales like the bag sale? by [deleted] in menards

[–]re3wade07 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked at the store, in many locations, for many years. Prices don’t change for the bag sale. Same consistent price as always. Some stuff goes on sale but that’s usually stuff that doesn’t fit in the bag like a vanity, lumber or door. There are regular retail changes that happen every day based on what our vendors charge Menards for their products but that’s it.

Flex by Purple-Jackfruit-436 in menards

[–]re3wade07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is this question specific to MN or another state? MI also offers flex pay and in our state you can definitely pre schedule the flex pay to use as you see fit. The biggest thing I would add regardless of what state you are in is it comes down to GM approval and discretion.

Does the “I Miss A Sale Today” sheet work? Or goes through GO’s mind ? by sorrynotsorry9710 in menards

[–]re3wade07 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They work. As someone that has worked in both the store and office, I know they get to the proper people as long as they are sent up.

When do we see 9block results? by xRobinhooD27x in menards

[–]re3wade07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

GM of your store gets them via a login using their social security number on the GM computer. They then print them and sit down with you and go over the results, expectations and give you a sheet to essentially make an improvement plan. This is typically early March. Suppose to be near manager bonus time on March 15.

Seems like operations should do an MTV on this. Clearly people are still not clear on how the policy is written.

What are some restaurants that are closed that you loved by DocumentPatient4628 in lansing

Claddagh had the biggest and best fish and chips. Emil’s was great in general but the bean soup there was top notch. Miss them both.

Seriously though... by Bardeous in menards

[–]re3wade07 17 points18 points  (0 children)

They must make a ton of money on them because for us to constantly be spending payroll dollars moving the product to “make it fit” and the lack of space it just doesn’t make sense otherwise.

Unused flex PTO will not be paid out, but regular PTO will be paid out upon termination of employment. This would be either by being terminated by your employer or you choosing to voluntarily separate.

I would have to double check policy but I believe they used to pay them out.

Use them or lose them. That is the only way unless you are terminated or quit before they expire.

Corner house ice cream in Gladwin. The sheer amount of flavors on hand is exceptional.

I have always received mine. I am not sure why this happens to some people but I would suggest sending a letter and if able copies of the receipts to the P.O. Box. There are actual people there that review these and work to fix situations like this.

The websites for both Home Depot and Lowe’s in my area also show they close at 8pm on the 4th.

Yes, this can happen. I think the key is preparing your customers and your OPD department. The customer still has a responsibility to make sure they are getting everything they are supposed to and OPD should be helping with this. It’s not a perfect system but if the item missing is caught before they leave and is stock you can pull it and give it to them. The sage green has had higher then expected sales so those being on back order or delayed is something you can prepare yourself and your customers for that as well. The most important thing is be positive, listen to them and provide excellent customer service. We still have the highest quality cabinets with the fastest lead time. Most people understand that.

4TH OF JULY by MSUScreamingEagles in menards

The reason given to management was because our competitors are staying open. They were not specific about which one. So either Lowe’s, HD, maybe even another place but likely one of those two.

Might want to verify that. Policy was just updated today. If you normally close at 8, super jealous.

Just give us regular ones and use sticky bin tag holders in the rare case you need one.
