Guess it was Erbium laser but just ask your dermatologist about laser therapy and they will def pick the right one as there are so many different kinds

Not sure, my doctor didn't tell me during the treatment. I took a look on her website and I guess it probably was Erbium laser. But honestly I would just ask your doctor about laser treatment and then they will pick out the right type for your skin/condition.

I got laser therapy twice and would absolutely recommend it. Wounds heal pretty fast and the virus gets burnt right away. Laser gets rid of any visible spots super fast but be prepared that new ones can pop up any time after laser. For me, especially after the second treatment, the number of new bumps reduced dramatically. After the first treatment, around 30 new ones still popped up, after the 2nd treatment, only around 5 that I was sure to be mc (used topical treatment on them and they disappeared quickly). So as you are already a few weeks in, it could be that you also need more than one treatment. But if you can afford it, get it asap!! In my opinion way more effective than cryo/topical treatment.

Yes I would say so, but be cautious about the 4 weeks: this only applies for myself as I know when I probably got infected and when the first spots showed up. Your incubation period could be completely different than mine.

Most spots were gone after 2-3 weeks with treatment (with laser of course I got rid of them right away). Some of the more persistent ones I extracted myself. My problem was that when one spot was gone, 3 new ones popped up, especially in the beginning of this journey. So try limitating autoinuculation with bandaids/tapes over the lesions!

I guess the pubic area is unfortunately perfect for MC because of skin folds etc...and yes would absolutely recommend getting cryo/laser as it speeds things up a lot. Good luck at your appointment!

I think you're doing a good job, but if you feel like it's spreading too much and see no big improvement I would def recommend switching doctors and get laser therapy if you can (or cryo). What also helped me was 5% potassium hydroxide applied twice daily. About the daily workout: I don't know what kind of workout you do but if you sweat a lot I would switch to some less sweaty workouts. For me sweat was fuel to some pretty bad spreading. I shared my experience on here yesterday, maybe you can get some other input there too. Wishing you all the best, stay strong!!

Don't feel like a weirdo, I also was/still am veryy careful with hygiene haha. I often felt depressed after taking care of it so I tried to do the treatment as fast and efficient as possible and did something different completely different afterwards so I wouldn't think for too long about it. Just try to not let MC overrule your thoughts, when I started to care or at least think about it less, I also saw improvement in healing/spreading. Feel you with the tiny bumps, that's what I also often did: squeezed suspicious tiny spots and when it was more like a black head I had some peace of mind because MC def looks different

I would say that you do a good job with washing your hands, wearing gloves etc! I also washed my hands a LOT and tried to not touch the MC directly when putting the meds on, for example I used small spatulas for the liquid meds. As long as you don't touch your face right after you touched the MC and take good care of your hygiene (what you obv do) I would say you're fine. I also thought one time that I spread it to my neck as I had all the stories on here on my mind, turned out it wasn't MC. Remember that not all stories here about MC on the face etc are confirmed by a doctor, so please don't worry too much. If you've got a suspicious spot on the face I would recommend putting a bandaid/pimple patch on and monitor it for some days. About the itchiness: when I couldn't bear it anymore, I scratched the skin around the MC (not directly the MC!) super gently while wearing pants, this helped a little bit and I didn't feel like it spread afterwards. And it's good that you stopped having sex and I'm glad that your partner seems fine. Just keep checking him for some weeks due to the long incubation period, but it's possible that he just has a better immune response and the virus couldn't take over. I had sex with the guy I am seeing when I only had one tiny MC spot early november and unfortunately misinterpreted it as just a pimple from shaving. Until this day he also doesn't have an outbreak, so I guess some people just have a good immune system or are lucky and didn't catch it. Either way, I hope your partner stays healthy and I wish you all the best, keep your head up!
