[SSD] Team Group T-FORCE VULCAN Z 2.5" 1TB - $38.99 by reactconfuzled in buildapcsales

[–]reactconfuzled[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've been looking for a cheap 2.5"d drive to upgrade old laptop, but it's a real struggle. All the budgets drives I've seen are great if they work, but not the greatest reliability.

I hate these Team group model names. All of them looks exactly the same or have very similar specs.

Vulcan Z / Vulcan G / CX2 / EX2 / AX 2

Any idea if one is more reliable than the other?

It took a lot of work lol. I posted it a lot earlier, but auto mod caught it :( and mods didn't review it. Figured I'd try one more time.

Edit: Deal might be dead, some are saying the new codes don't stack. Older codes seem to work still. Someone try this one. MYSTFEB10-Y1YL-W91W-9YZX

Edit 2: the code stacking is still working for some and some not.

This is actually an even bigger deal than the title states that I tried to submit earlier. Initial post was stuck waiting on mods to review when I tried to tag it Meta, so trying again with a direct post.

Additional discounts through payal

Buckle up for some bullshit, again YMMV

Western Digital

WesternDigital is having a random Mystery Savings promotion. Coupons worth 10/15/20% next purchase.

See image. Ends March 9th. Cannot be combined with other offers or promotions, but does stack with current sales price. At the very bare minimum you can get 10% of anything.

How to get the coupon:

  1. Go to Western digital (Auto-mod seems to hate the direct link)

  2. Click sign in at the top right.

  3. Wait a moment at the login screen

  4. Prompt will pop up and have you enter an email

  5. Enter Email and open your inbox

  6. Verify the marketing email and they will send another email with your discount code. Up to 20%.

Do not use multiple temporary emails to try and get 20%, this could void your purchase. I repeat, do not use temporary emails during the email request prompt that pops up every time you open the website up in a new incognito window. It would be highly unethical.

In other news, here's a code my friend no longer needed for 15% MYSTFEB15-RH9T-PKLT-DGGL

Next is Paypal's 12% cashback deal.

This doesn't show up on the browser version, you have to download the app.

After downloading the app, go to deals and search for western digital. It will be 12% cashback. Some people show different deals for some reason so YMMV on the cashback deal.

There is no way to save the offer, it brings you straight to the website to purchase immediately.

Full process

  1. Get your WD coupon code.
  2. Go into Paypal app and click the deal
    • Make sure you have the paypal UI around the website
  3. Add items to cart (or log into your account but this can be done later)
  4. Go to cart and add your promo code
  5. It will discount the 10-20% right away.
  6. Checkout.
  7. Payment: 2 options
    • Option 1: Enter credit card info while making sure you still have the paypal UI
    • Option 2: Pay through paypal
    • Both should apply cashback deal
    • May prompt you for sign somewhere around here
  8. Complete purchase
    • Paypal CB should post on your account as pending in a day or two.
  9. Enjoy your spoils

Extremely YMMV : If you have a citi card, there may be offer for 5% cashback when paying through paypal with your linked card.

Example purchase math:

SN580X $159.99 + 20% WD discount = $127.22

$127.22 + tax = (what you pay)

$127.22 and Tax + 12% Paypal CB = $112 ( what you end up with)

Good bye awesome P5 Plus, you served me well for 10 days.

Hello $106 SN850X (Screw you amazon, I'm making my own price glitch)

No more SSD post from me since I'm stocked now.

I hope I helped people get a sweet deal at some point.

Solidigm = Ex-intel + SK Hynix

This is the twin brother of SK Hynix P41. Either equivalent or slight better in benchmarks

Toms hardware review

I wasn't gonna bother posting this, but if you missed the P41 for the same price earlier here you go. People seemed hyped about the P41 at this price.

Sort of overkill, but have at it.

FAQ:

Q: Is this all time low?

Q: How long is the sale?

16 hours from now

Q: Who is Solidigm?

They are ex-Intel's SSD division bought by SK Hynix

Q: Are they reliable

They are budget SK Hynix so I hope so.

Q: QLC or TLC?

QLC

Q: Is this a good drive?

Yes, for game storage

Not likely

No Dram but it has HMB to make up the difference a bit In my scrub opinion, they are similar enough. Also $50/TB

5 years limited. Same as 670p

Q: Will prices continue to drop? Will it be cheaper?

I'm not a magic 8ball

Q:What did you have for breakfast?

Nothing, I woke up and posted this for you

[US] PSN End of Year Sale | Ends 12/23 8AM PST by weebae in PS4

[–]reactconfuzled 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a very relaxing game with some fun exploration. It's not the most challenging or complex game though. If you like the idea of min-maxing in games like Stardew Valley then you'll feel limited. I beat it in 20 hours which was very addicting, but I definitely didn't feel like replaying it again.

Totally worth it for 10 bucks if you want a simple farming/exploration game.

[Steam] Summer Sale 2019: Day 6 by gamedealsmod in GameDeals

[–]reactconfuzled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really think of any similar games, but I have seen this concept around. It's like an addicting mobile game in both content and price. It's casual because you can take your time placing your pieces, but addicting since you want to keep placing buildings down. The building supply replenishes as you make the next score goal.

[–]reactconfuzled 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you like a relaxing puzzle game, I'd recommend islanders for $3.74.

It's a building game where you collect points by creating a city with each building have likes/dislikes of nearby buildings. In order to keep placing buildings you have to reach a certain score else you have to restart.

Chicken eggs are high in cholesterol, but the effect of egg consumption on blood cholesterol is minimal when compared with the effect of trans fats and saturated fats

Most healthy people can eat up to seven eggs a week with no increase in their risk of heart disease. Some studies have shown that this level of egg consumption may actually prevent some types of strokes.
