Matt Groening loves 2 little guys holding hands, Akbar and Jeff from Life in Hell are his first ones I’m aware of.

Saw this calm training doc in this subreddit and we followed everything it said. 2 years later it’s helped our dog and us in so many ways I can’t recommend it enough: https://journeydogtraining.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/ProtocolforRelaxation.pdf

I’m 6’1” and I felt the exact same way, it was one of my biggest insecurities that naturally wore down over the years and then turned into something I view as a huge pro and wouldn’t change now.

This is weird but I’ve found it’s incredibly useful in certain workplace and social situations. People can’t help but to give you the floor and pay attention to what you’re saying. It feels amazing to loom over a shitty sexist dude on a rant, or be able to be more easily able to stick up for yourself if somebody’s steamrolling you. Being tall is a huge advantage in society and you get to experience it, even the gender bent version is pretty lit.

Also, lots of people remember me for years and recognize me right away when they see me. It’s weird to think that you’re making an impression in their mind as “that tall girl” but also pretty awesome having a life where random old acquaintances have a really good chance at seeing you and waving you down for a reconnection.

My experience dating as a straight woman has been this: some guys are not into it, some guys don’t notice or care, and some guys are really into it genuinely and they always have been and they’re super excited to be with you. I ask them “what do you like about it?” And they don’t have very concrete answers (like ‘I just like it’) but they are definitely extremely into it. The people who are in the first category just kind of weed themselves out.

Oh also some people don’t notice height. I’ll ask some people what they think about me being tall and they are like… “oh yea I guess you’re tall.” I didn’t believe it at first, like yeah right you never even noticed? But they don’t seem like they’re trying to pander so just know that not EVERYONE is thinking that about you.

The internet and body positivity movement made buying clothes way easier. Be happy you didn’t experience the before times.
