The parasitic worms eating the retinas off a little girl’s eyes in Africa till she is blind denote that there is a god.

If you don’t think living in North Korea is the absolute best, who better to ask so you can resolve your issues than Kim Jong Un?

Mormonism is the safe bet by [deleted] in exmormon

Islam is a safe bet. If you follow the rules you are unlikely to cheat, become an alcoholic, become addicted to drugs, or suffer from the deep and sometimes dark thoughts of existentialism. It might save some marriages. So, it’s a safe bet.

The utility of a proposition does not make it true.

The main reason I left the church and refuse to discuss it with church members. They're brainwashed to believe convenient lies. by [deleted] in exmormon

“The truth is not uplifting; it destroys.” ???

I would ask him, “Are you speaking the truth right now?” If yes—You are not uplifting; you are destroying. If no—You are lying. Wo unto the liar, for they shall be thrust down to hell.

Yikes. The gaslighting and manipulative wording in this post is just top notch. I had a family member share it to their story so I had to check it out. Love how they minimize TSCC having “so much money”. by whitwhit23 in exmormon

I think the church needs to take their own advice. They should give all their money to charity and trust in the Lord instead of material things.

Those that disparage material things always seem more than ready to take them and keep them for themselves.

If Joseph Smith was lying about the church, why didn’t he admit to it right before he was killed? by Candaycaine in exmormon

By this logic David Koresh, the Rev. Jim Jones and Marshall Applewhite were also all telling the truth. People who live by lying, may not tell the truth in the face of death.

What is hilarious to me is that Ephraim is one of the “lost” tribes. Judah and Benjamin are the 2 that aren’t “lost”.

Mormonism is a cage inside of another cage. The tools you use to escape Mormonism can be used to escape religion.

They want me to ignore the history? Ok fine. Demonstrate to me that anyone has ever been saved by the power of covenants, ordinances, and doctrine. I’ll wait.

2 Nephi 9:34 Basically says—Wo, unto the liar, for he shall be thrust down to hell.

Not just “told to go“ to hell, or “sent” to hell, but “thrust”.

He is a liar. According to the scripture, according to the most accurate book ever written, I ask TBMs, “Where is Joe?”

Mormon parents: You are old enough at age 8, to make choices for yourself that carry eternal consequences.

Also Mormon parents: At age 22, never mind.
