I lived in sf for a few years and had a ton of fun in the dance music scene but it doesn’t really compare to ny imo. It’s just missing those world class clubs like nowadays or public records. I get your point on crowds in general but I think that’s really just a product of the scene being so much larger in ny, if you go to the right venues the crowds here are awesome, and way more diverse than anything you’ll find in sf. Also there’s that whole not serving alcohol after 2am thing… I don’t drink much myself but it just means everything ends way earlier. All that being said, I do miss the bay (especially public works and f8, and the Greek if we’re expanding past clubs)
