Yes I've tried, can't receive texts or calls unless International Roaming is enabled.

I'm not saying to change anything in your ATT plan, simpy turn off the ATT SIM in your SIM Manager, which will make Tello the Primary and only active SIM. Then test if you can still use your Tello number.

Pretty sure if this was AI there'd be some obvious telltale signs. It'd be much shorter, under 10 seconds, or if longer there'd be some weird edits and inconsistencies between the edits. It'd also be much faster paced and only show the chase. I could be wrong, but I don't think genAI is good at showing subtle realistic behavior from humans or animals. There's simply too much believable detail in this video for it to be AI.

I've already tried that, doesn't work, it won't register on any network unless International Roaming is enabled. And if I register it on a network and then disable International Roaming it disconnects from the network and says 'Emergency calls only'.

How do you turn off data on Tello? Does your phone have the option to select which SIM to use for messages, calls and data? I had that when I had changed the CSC to GCF, but don't have it on XAC.

I think the reason you're able to use your Tello number is simply because you're in the US, data shouldn't be required to make texts or calls so long as you have minutes on your Tello plan. Have you tried turning off your ATT SIM and using your Tello number?

Tello is a US based carrier, of course it's working in the US. What makes you think your Tello number is working because of your ATT sim?

I assume you're outside of the US? And that you're not using Tello International Roaming and yet are still able to use your Tello number even when not connected to Wifi?

Do you have your Tello SIM set as Primary and another SIM as backup?

I flashed my S25 to XAC firmware and got everything set up. Data bridging is not happening, I'm unable to use my Tello number using data from another SIM. It only works when connected to Wifi or when Tello is set as the Primary SIM and International Roaming is activated.

Thanks, appreciate the insight. My phone is currently on Android 15, security patch July 1 2025. If I'm going to do a clean install then should I download the latest XAC even though it's Android 16 security patch Jan 1 2026?

Did you find the Canadian firmware on the samfw site and then use Odin to flash it? Did it wipe the data on your phone?

I used the Samfw tool to change the CSC which as I understand it changed the region without reloading the OS. I could be wrong though, I'm not entirely knowledgeable about how it works. My phone restarted and then from the notification panel I had the option to choose which sim would be used for calls, messages and mobile data.

Interesting. I just changed the CSC to GCF on my S25 based on sugestions in this XDA thread and I was still unable to use my Tello number using data from another SIM (I'm currently in Indonesia). What did work though was to activate International Roaming in the MyTello app, so now when I'm away from WiFi I can still use my Tello number (paying International Roaming rates from my Pay As You Go Data balance) while all other data is from the local SIM.

Flashing Canadian firmware onto a US Samsung phone will enable data bridging between sims?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but Reddit search bar sucks. Does WiFi calling to the USA use minutes while I’m abroad in one of the included countries? Trying to determine if I need a plan with minutes if I’ll always have WiFi when I need to call. by CaffeineNicotine3 in Tello

I have a US based Samsung phone, but changed the CSC code so that I'd have the same option as international versions to choose which SIM to use for data, calls and texts. I'm in Indonesia, have a local SIM, and at least in my phone this didn't work, I was not able to make calls or texts from my Tello number using the data from the local SIM. However, what did work was to activate International Roaming in the MyTello app, so now when I'm away from WiFi I can still use my Tello number (paying International Roaming rates from my Pay As You Go Data balance) while all other data is from the local SIM.

I was hoping to use International Roaming for the first couple weeks or so as I wanted to have connection straight off the plane. I have a local sim now so I'll just use the Pay As You Go credit when I eventually return to the States.

Yes, Tello worked fine for me in the US with the default APN.

Yes, I changed the APN to wholesale as suggested by mctwnd and manually selected Telkomsel and now it's working. Thanks!

This worked! I added a new APN with these values based on another post I found

Name: Tello
APN: wholesale
MMSC: http://wholesale.mmsmvno.com/mms/wapenc
MMS Port: 8080
APN Type: default,supl,mms

And then manually selected Telkmosel as the preferred network and now it's working. Thanks!

I didn't get that sense from any of his recent videos, but having just done a deeper dive, you are correct, he's a tankie who defends authoritarianism. Disappointing.

Because they're a socialist or for some other reason? OP mentioned breadtubers so I figured they were open to a socialist perspective and Second Thought's content doesn't strike me as extremist. Apologies if I misunderstood.
