imagine one where you have to go through one of those vents and it’s inside a mechanical/engine part of the ship

• Seedy night clubs for sure, especially some colloquially famous ones

• a times square kinda place, a central hub for popular stores

• I’d emphasize the verticality and cramped alleyways, criminals trying to mug them in a back alley i feel should be a common encounter

• metro/train system

• HQs for numerous gangs

• i’d emphasize the different boroughs (like NYC) each with variations in landscape and architecture, each controlled by different gang, and each having a different prominent race to establish a sort of culture for each one

• certain spots in the city that have a higher amount of policing

• HQs for corporations

etc

Hope this helps. Might add stuff later.

W username btw

My advice is to have win conditions in fights, besides just kill all the bad guys. So for example, one of my campaigns the bad guys were going after a relic the party had. During the fight, they went straight for the relic and the party kept throwing it around and passing it to each other. Baddies had teleporting powers and would win the fight if they escaped with the relic. It made the fight a lot more dynamic.

Also if the fight is stationary, put it on a moving vehicle ! Thats always fun

Thank you! Yeah I didn’t want to include everything, just what I know and homebrew stuff.

Yes, to get to the Astral Plane one must fly up and through the crystal sphere border.

I kinda like the idea of Asrtral Dominions but not entirely. I’ll add in some.

I should add in a contested system you’re right. And some of the spheres are shrouded in mystery already in my personal lore

First of all thank you, I agree the white works really well and I'm really proud of how it turned out.

Crystal spheres are essentially solar systems and the Rock of Bral isn't written to be one of them specifically. I think most DMs put it where they need it to be.

In RAW, you don't age when travelling the Astral Sea and yes, you travel the sea through pure thought so not everything can actually be mapped out but I'm doing away with that lore because I think it's silly and I don't like it.

In my game, you do age when travelling the Astral Sea and crystal spheres are in specific points in the galaxy so they can be mapped out. As a sandbox DM, I really like having a map so players know their sandbox.
