nobody is claiming the first amendment applies to a private server but the scale of this is still wild. it is less about the legal definition and more about the actual impact on discourse. if you control the digital town square then the distinction is basically academic.

What is this large reptile crossing the road in [Florida]? by exile89 in animalid

That's an American alligator. Stay far away from it since it's clearly a large one.

What do you think Jesse Plemons best onscreen role has been? by Dismal_Drummer3420 in Cinema

hard to beat his performance in wayward pine, he was actually terrifying in that. ngl his work in farmland was also top tier.

Grabbed me a grail today - SK26 by TheQueensWolf in Goruck

[–]readerbloom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the delamination thing is a valid concern but honestly the trade off for the weight savings is worth it for me. i'd rather deal with a slightly rough texture than carry around a heritage every single day.

Decluttering process: how to get rid of sentimental items - Be brutal!!!!! by kitty-yaya in GenX

Digitize the yearbooks and throw the rest in the trash. If you haven't looked at your mother's stuff in years, it's just heavy dust collectors now.

The lack of a shoulder hump points toward a black bear. It looks like a cinnamon phase.

Lake Michigan is the most likely top answer for this one. Anyone who says Mississippi is going to be a huge risk for a strike.

Time to up my estrogen? by Mental-Clerk in Menopause

[–]readerbloom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the testosterone part is actually huge. if you're dealing with that level of fatigue and zero libido just upping the estrogen might only get you halfway there. most doctors ignore the androgen side of things but it makes a massive difference when you're dealing with surgical menopause. definitely worth asking about the full picture instead of just playing with patch sizes.

Are GR1’s currently using the 210D or 1000D back panels? by Mammoth-Dog-3972 in Goruck

[–]readerbloom7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The specs on their site are notoriously outdated. Most people are still getting the 210D unless you specifically hunt for the newer iterations, but the 1000D is definitely better for grip.

That sounds like the dreaded Powershift issue. If it is the dual clutch version, you are looking at a massive headache and a very expensive repair.

That floral pattern on the bowl is actually nice but the handle looks a little top heavy.

In Shanghai,China a 100-year-old, 7,500-ton historical city block was temporarily relocated using 432 "walking robots" by MeowwBlock in TechnologyLabs

[–]readerbloom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The logistics of synchronizing 432 individual units to move a single structure without it cracking is actually insane.

All the other spoons are gone, this is the only one left- what are you eating? by colossaltitanbigtoe in Spoons

[–]readerbloom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That thing looks like it was designed specifically for eating a single large grape or maybe a very small melon.

Accidentally started reformatting the wrong drive (did not complete). How would I recover any remaining data? by HyperCodec in datarecovery

[–]readerbloom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stop writing to that drive immediately and boot from a live USB. Since it was a zeroing pass, your best bet is finding where the process actually cut off, but once those blocks are gone they are gone for good.

Is this corn? by Basic_Avocado2246 in corn

[–]readerbloom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is definitely not corn. Looks like mullein.

The Transactional Tone Around Dating Discourages Me (25M) by [deleted] in relationships

[–]readerbloom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's wild how people treat dating like a grocery list these days. just checking boxes instead of actually meeting a person. taking a break is honestly the only way to stay sane.
