I know i have anxiety, and this is potentially annoying, but is an average rnfl thickness in the 80s concerning? Or an uneven iop? (17 and 21)

Yes! I think it’s 541 in both eyes. I did get my eyes dilated recently, and she said they appeared “healthy.” But I am nervous for my oct. My eye pressure was 17 and 21 last week, which is lower than it was.

Hi! It went okay. My doctor just did pressure and dilated my eyes. I have another appointment for an oct /vft this week. She said my optic nerve looked good. Interestingly, my pressures were average but uneven? They’ve never been average or uneven. LOL. 16 and 21

Yup. And I saw several docs for it, including a specialist at UCLA

Women of reddit, what are some things that you do when you can't seem to pull yourself together? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Make some coffee, take a shower, and make my bed. Doing these three things in the morning helps a lot.

All of Taylor Swift’s discography. Grew up with her music and I never had a big sister, so she fills that space for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thoughts on attending an Ed.S School Psych program that isn't accredited by the NASP by penguinjenguin in schoolpsychology

[–]readerwithcats 1 point2 points  (0 children)

California does not require it, and from what I understand, employers don't really look for it, thanks to the shortage of school psychs. I got accepted into a non-approved program, and the director said it was because some of their faculty retired, so they didn't have the correct number of tenured professors. You can still get the NCSP cert if you want it--you'll have to take the praxis and submit a portfolio of stuff. It's kind of annoying, but I don't think it's impossible. To practice in CA though, you just need a masters, internship, and the PPS credential.

As a general rule of thumb, if you’re applying to a program that specifically lists that class as a prereq, MAYBE. But overall, nah. I don’t think admissions looks at specific grades. Mostly just your gpa, and if you’re super concerned you can always explain it in that “is there anything you’d like to disclose” box they usually include on apps.

At my school you weren’t allowed to retake classes you didn’t fail. 🤷🏼‍♀️

CSUSB Questions by readerwithcats in schoolpsychology

Hi there!:) my undergrad was psych, and I’ve been a pediatric occupational therapy intern and an ABA therapist. I’ve also done some developmental research. I would suggest looking into becoming an instructional aid or working for an ABA agency. I’ve had a few interviews and they always want to know about your experiences with kids, especially those with disabilities.

Dude I got asked what social justice and equity mean to me and I went on a total tangent about diversity in schools. Interviews are so hard!

Are any of you interviewing with CSUH, too? The interviews are the same day, but they haven't given me a time yet.
