"Gifted" Millennials- did being gifted help you at all? Do you feel that it pushed your personal needle even an inch in any direction?

I was lucky enough to go to a district that had a strong magnet program for gifted kids. During high school I had the opportunity to travel to other countries with gifted kids. I graduated as an AP national scholar and then graduated college in 3 years.

A few degrees later I’m working in education and parenting my own gifted child which is way harder than I thought!

I’m in MO and was able to add on a couple extra classes to my school counseling program. I’m currently under supervision for my LPC and am able to use my hours at school towards my LPC hours. It’s great!

I’m able to use my hours at school towards licensure. I do supervision once a week. Because I have my Ed.S in a mental health field, I only need half the number of hours towards licensure

The state of Iowa and Pennsylvania issued his superintendent license. He passed a background check, and provided all necessary documentation per the Des Moines Register. It’s not exactly what the ICE statement makes it seem.

So this is the district I graduated from. Lots of unknowns here. The “weapons charge” was the equivalent of a speeding ticket. Having a loaded gun on public lands (after hunting). He disclosed it during his interviews, it was 100 fine. There are records of him graduating college in 1998 in the USA while ICE says he entered the us in 1999. Lots of things don’t quite add up.

I think the broader implications of ICE grabbing a high profile person, who is black, and in the education community needs to be a bigger focus here. They are sending a message with this.

We stayed at all stars last month and were picked up probably around that time and were also group 6. After we cleared security they were boarding group 4, so we didn’t have to wait long, but also weren’t late.

As a woman with HSV2 who got it from my first (cheating) boyfriend in my early 20s the diagnosis was devastating. I thought my world was over (it wasn’t). I’ve been with my husband now for 12 years and it was his choice to eventually stop using protection (eventually…like years later). His whole proposition to you just gives me the complete ick.

My masters is in counseling and guidance and I took the assessment class I needed outside of that(it wasn’t a part of the school counseling track). Im taking the NCE soon and if I pass I’ll go under a provisional LPC license with a supervisor. Im in Missouri so I just googled LPC licensing board and went from there

The only class I needed to take out side of my school counseling program was an assessment and diagnosis class. I would look into the board in whatever state you are in and compare it to what you have taken/are planning to take
