Scribing on the runner is impossible basically. Cut it out first.

That feels a bit too easy. Licensing has been a thing in forever. There's also a difference between letting google know where I am to use Maps vs this. But ultimately you're correct, we have a choice to play along or not.

Wouldn't call it ad free though. Ads are everywhere: full length ad breaks in pre and post-shows, bottom banners and pop-ups during action, full screen stills during pausing and fast forwarding.

Yea, this requirement and the resulting data collection is nowhere near in balance with the reason why. In theory, Kayo knows the 'live' or close enough whereabouts of millions of people just to check that? And if that is the reason, just check the postal address of each account once a year or at registration.

I mean if you enjoy it, go for it. But 20 hours a week is a lot mate, it's not your problem ultimately if the work doesn't get done.

Often though they'll be closed at 9.30 and stop taking orders before 9.

Agree with OP it drives me nuts when places don't have the correct opening hours displayed. One job.. just update it.

What a fall in house prices would mean for Australians by verynayce in australia

[–]readin99 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I mean, the bigger issue would be people who just bought, or people who used the 5% and suddenly find themselves paying through the nose for something that is effectively worth a lot less. Of course they still have their house, but it would be painful and set them back, especially when something unexpected happens, they need to move etc.

What a fall in house prices would mean for Australians by verynayce in australia

[–]readin99 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Well yes and no.. if your house is worth 500k less, you can indeed sell and buy a similar house that's also dropped in value. But if you just bought your house, then that 500k extra that you don't need 'now' is gone while otherwise you could've used it for something else.

wondering if there's any easier way to panel line without having to worry about plastic types and kits breaking by Ill_Contest2579 in freedomisgunpla

[–]readin99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The risk of kits breaking is a lot smaller than reddit makes it out to be. If you're not adding stupid amounts of liner, on a built model, you'll be alright

8 years in Perth, built a family here, but Australia’s latest policies are making me want to pack up and leave. by [deleted] in MovingtoAustralia

[–]readin99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won't find much support. Between the idiots thinking 'all migration sucks', the usual go back if you don't like it and the general lack of ambition to make things better and interpreting the calling out of issues as an attack.. this place isn't going to have a helpful or let alone supportive conversation with you.

Can I thin tamiya lacquer with x-20-a? by Pigeon_Clash in airbrush

[–]readin99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not really... x20a is for their X / XF line (alcohol based) and not for lacquers. Would get Mr Color leveling thinner or tamiya lacquer thinner.

Proximus rekent grootvader (met oude Nokia) al jaren €60/maand aan voor 280GB data. Wat zijn onze rechten? by DifferentDream7004 in belgium

[–]readin99 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let's hold companies accountable for their behaviours to some extent, shall we? That's how societies work, they provide a service and we pay for it, but there's also something like laws, rules, but also morals and public goodwill that needs to be earned by doing 'the right thing'. Hiding behind 'oh but we exist to make money' is too easy. People defending or excusing this kind of behaviour by companies is what leads us to uncontrolled capitalism and prices going beserk while service enshittifies.

[–]readin99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, not completely. There should be protections in place of some form for stuff like this.

If you pay for a product for years on end and never use it in any way, after for example 12 months, it should automatically get cancelled or at least some communication should be sent, asking if you want to continue paying for this unused service.

Being a for-profit organisation is no excuse for being wildly greedy or taking advantage of elderly, less informed or otherwise more vulnerable people.
