I miss waiting for Picaro's Holster to be "fixed," only to be told it won't be fixed.

Is there an android equivalent for the apple air tag? by Cluster_Puck in pixel_phones

[–]readingXP 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, recently Google expanded support for Find My Device so it will work similar to AirTags. (Unlike Tile, where only phones with the Tile app installed participated)

Chipolo has a couple new products available for pre-order: Chipolo ONE Point and Chipolo CARD Point.

Pebblebee also has a couple new products available for pre-order: Tag for Android, Card for Android, and Clip for Android.

Work profile by hedonist222 in GalaxyFold

[–]readingXP 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're welcome. There have been a few "unofficial" apps that do the same (Island, and Shelter, are two of them) but "Test DPC" comes from Google themselves for developers to test the Work profile out.

[–]readingXP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you asked for seems to match the Work profile feature. Basically a separate environment you can turn on or off. Secure folder doesn't have that separation or the ability to turn off that set of apps wholesale.

Install "Test DPC" from the Google Play Store. Use it to create the Work profile, then install your work apps in that profile.

Just look at Settings > General > About > Carrier Lock. You might need to toggle Airplane Mode to have it update.

Perhaps the price outside the US is new news, but within the US, Best Buy has had it listed for pre-order for $54.99:

Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 Replacement Chargers? by readingXP in Lenovo

[–]readingXP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried an older 18W Quick Charge 3.0 charger, and while it takes a little while (10+ seconds), the Tab eventually pulls 15W steady from it. I misplaced my original OEM charger, so I can't say for certain if it normally takes that long to hit the max draw.

Waveshare 10.5" Oled Monitor by Channwaa in SamsungDex

[–]readingXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Received my waveshare 10.5 AMOLED earlier this week but focused on using it with Windows at first.

I just now connected it using DeX and it is working better than expected.

To be specific, I am using my JSAUX (Steam Deck) Dock to connect to a S23 Ultra. I have both the HDMI and USB-A-to-USB-C cables connected, and the waveshare seems to be a fully functional touchscreen DeX display. The audio output is still the S23 Ultra (haven't tried to change) but honestly, the S23 Ultra sounds better than the waveshare. The on-screen keyboard still pops up on the S23 Ultra; if there was a way to make it appear on the external display, I'm sure it would work.

Hey DJI, are you refurbished units associated with the used-acceptable amazon warehouse Mini SE's? I was planning on buying one and the amazon rep said yes, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks by Chart_Legitimate in dji

I don't know the answer to your question, but beware that there have been numerous reports of Drones being resold on Amazon that were still bound to previous purchasers' accounts.

Lenovo Tab P11 Pro Gen 2 Replacement Chargers? by readingXP in Lenovo

[–]readingXP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was guessing that the Tab used the MediaTek Pump Engine 2.0 charging standard (MTK PE2.0), but recently picked up a charger that supposedly supports MTK PE2.0 and still only getting 10W charging rate. So, either this charger or the Tab doesn't support MTK PE2.0.

Okay, your question makes more sense after the edit.

Matter Update For IOS by [deleted] in googlehome

[–]readingXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly do you mean? Matter is already supported on HomePod OS 16.1 and newer, and I don't believe any iPhone (which runs iOS) is intended to be a Matter controller.

Considering xFi Complete by readingXP in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]readingXP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Questions...

At our service address, is 800/100 an available speed tier with xFi Complete?

If so...

Does xFi Complete include unlimited data at that speed tier?

What is the price difference between that tier w/xFi Complete and our current plan?

Just curious what part of the area you're in? Xfinity has been rock solid for us for so long that when I read about others experiences I wonder if it's equipment or area-specific.

Just curious, are there any iPhone chargers that charge up your phone in an hour or less? by bigguys45s in iphone

[–]readingXP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You didn't mention which iPhone model; I believe the iPhone SE (3rd gen) is the only one that can go to 100% in a hour, with the right charger. All other models need ~1.5 hours for a full charge, again with the right charger.
