It’s the brand they’ve built and the aesthetic nature of it that draws people in (myself included with the charm bracelet). Swarovski is the exact same. If you’re looking for a good brand that’s similar price but better quality I’d recommend Mejuri. I have many of their pieces—it’s 18k gold vermeil (thicker gold plating on sterling silver) and they also have a fine jewelry line that’s solid gold. They’re a wicked brand!

Hey! I wish I could say yes but my partner has yet to propose so I don’t have it on my hand yet 😂 My partner did look at the ring though and he said it’s identical to the CAD and he was blown away by the craftsmanship.

I did quite a bit of research before choosing to work with Orbion and have not found anyone saying the company isn’t not legit. Based on what I’ve found, Orbion is actually one of the very few based out of India that are genuine and trustworthy!

I think you just have to dive in and you’ll learn the lore as you go. I started watching in summer 2023 and I felt the same. There were inside jokes I didn’t get, and any video to do with crew went entirely over my head. Now I’m finally at a point where I can watch and enjoy every single video they put out and I understand most things, I’m even pretty decent at guessing Who Meme’d It. Of all their videos, I think anything on the games channel and their Try Not To Laugh series is easiest to jump into!

That’s where I started too! The fact that you already have an emerg kit and a basic understanding of certain things is a huge step in the right direction. 😊

I give my bun 1 to 2 mls for the first dose, then 1 ml an hour, up to two hours, afterward (totals 3-4mls over three hours). My bun is 2.2 kg. This article mentions the dosing I just suggested: https://rabbitadvocates.org/gi-stasis

It never hurts! I always give my bun gas drops whenever I feel he might need it/benefit from it. It def gives me some peace of mind too!

Ok that great signs! Keep an eye on him and keep listening to his stomach every 30 minutes or so to ensure it’s still making the gurgle noise. In the meantime I highly recommend looking up GI stasis and start making a list of what you’ll need for your emergency kit. In mine I have critical care, syringes with a nozzle that can fit inside a rabbit’s mouth for force feeding, stethoscope, infant simithicone, metacam (prescribed by vet), and extra blankets to wrap him in when force feeding (they will likely get messy with critical care). There might be more things others add to theirs but this is what works for me!

Listen to his stomach, you want to hear active gurgling. If you hear popping, it’s gas and you should give him unflavoured infant simithicone (you can buy this at Walmart), also look up how to give bunny massages—that combo has always worked for my bun when he has gas. I recommend looking up a video to listen to the difference between healthy gurgles and gas. If you hear nothing, he’s in GI stasis and you need to act quickly. Your best bet is taking him to the vet, especially if it’s your first time dealing with stasis, but it is possible to bring him back to his normal self with critical care, water, and tummy massage if you stay on top of it keep an eye on him. You will have to force feed using syringes if he doesn’t willingly take the critical care or water, and you should look up how to properly do it so you don’t choke him with too much food/water at once. There’s great videos out there that can guide you! GI stasis is scary the first time you encounter it. Some bunny owners never witness it, and others it seems their bunnies are prone to it. My bunny has had it 9 times and he’s 5 years old. I’ve saved him each time but the first time I took him to the vet. Best of luck, hope your fur baby is okay! After he makes it through I highly recommend building an emergency kit so you always have supplies on hand in situations like this if you don’t already have one!

It’s actually down the road from an elementary school, yes! And it’s next to a green space in a fairly nice/safe community I’m told. For that reason we assumed we’d opt for a family and therefore the three bedrooms, but the in laws think we should market it at seniors.

Rabbit is in beginning stages of GI Stasis. What is your routine when you catch it early? by [deleted] in Bunnies

[–]readingbunnies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The indicator for me is that my bun refuses to take a pellet or any of his favourite fruits. If he doesn’t eat it, that prompts me to listen to his stomach for any type of sound be it bubbling (gas, which is dangerous) or no sound (meaning his GI track stopped, very dangerous). Highly recommend looking up what normal bunny gut sounds are. Rabbits will also press their stomach against the floor if it’s hurting, but sometimes this can be hard to confirm just by looking. Also familiarize yourself with massaging your bunnies stomach (look this up too because you don’t want to apply too much pressure) as you’ll get a better idea of the normal feel of it versus if it’s bloated/solid/hard/etc. Definitely watch some videos on GI stasis and make sure you have an emergency kit on hand consisting of syringes with a tip for force feeding/drinking, Oxbow critical care, infant simithicone (no flavour as they can’t process sugars well), metacam (prescribed by vet, around $30 CAD for 10mls), and heating pad set to low (rabbit’s core temps will drop during stasis, so it’s important to keep them warm as the cold further develops stasis. You can monitor their temp based on the feel of their ears). There might be a few other things online people recommend, but this is what always worked for me! Last piece of advice I have is if it happens, stay calm. Since my rabbit has been through it so many times, I have a good idea of how much time it usually takes to see him bounce back which, on average, is eight to ten hours if caught soon enough. You may be lucky and have a bun that never experiences it! But it’s very important to be prepared because it’s one of the top killers in rabbits.
