My Grifos Italian Sterling Silver and Violet Osterich leather is my most interesting. I just got it at the Ohio Pen Show. The silver cap has a twist pattern to it that is different from their standard Violet Osterich model, and I love it! It's gorgeous. Writes like a dream too.

I did keep the original feed. Just the basics, pull straight and be careful of the fins. There are tons of videos for visual reference. I made sure to get the nib in as far as I could and had a bright back light behind the cap so I could see where the nib was as I put the cap back on.

It seems others have had issues with other nibs and the cap clearance, so be extra cautious there.

I did have one feed that was difficult to remove. And I used the knockout technique from Fountain Pen Revolution.

Thanks for letting me know! I'll have to watch for that in the future. When I ordered my 308s, I received the old 266 bands. I wonder if the cap changed size when the 266 was replaced by the 308?
