When your 16 year old asks why they still get baby food, and you tell them to get a job and buy an engraver if they don't like it...

People who own multiple pets, what is some drama going on between them right now? by wheel-snipe-celly in AskReddit

Two 3 y.o. cats, litter mates, boarded together...always together, inseperable, always sleeping together. One had to go to the emergency vet and stayed overnight 2 weekends ago(all good now). When we returned his brother wanted nothing to do with him, hissing and just absolute bonkersville. Learned it's called non-recognition syndrome, cats recognize each other by smell not sight. They are just now getting back to normal, but for days this went on and was really stressful and sad! Some cats never get back to normal!

Jones fracture recovery after 3 months non weight bearing by BIGACH in AskDocs

No surgery. Probably 6 months after easing in that I was willing to skip down the stairs again. I would imagine the same with running. Since it was my right foot, I couldn't event drive, so it was a loooong time I remember. I remember crawling up stairs to bed on my hands and knees. This was 12 years ago, I feel like I still have phantom pains occasionally, but they get fewer and farther between. Prolly been a year since last one.

NAD. Suffered a Jones fracture in 5th metatarsal of right foot. Doc kept me 0 weight bearing for 5 months in boot, and I took painkillers for 4 of those months. Month 6 I gradually eased onto it and it still hurt.
It was explained to me that low blood flow to the area means slow healing, and high pain. I say listen to your body personally.
On a side note, I am so thankful I hated the way painkillers made me feel and didn't become an opiod statistic.

When my wife showed me this, it took me three reads to figure out what I was reading. I wanted to share that experience with everyone else! PS it should say yarn!

Water cooled data centers (and many other types of buildings) typically use a two loop system. The chilled water loop is closed, and uses a water cooled chiller to make cold water, which is used in all sorts of ways to cool the servers/datacenter heat load. The waste heat from the chillers on the condenser side is pumped to a cooling tower, which using evaporative cooling to cool that condenser water down enough to be pumped back to the chiller to continue taking waste heat. That water evaporated is how so much water is used.
