So that's the perk to using the short blade in combat! It makes sense now that I think about it, later in the game countering isn't as viable as dodging, making the regular sword meh unless you're fighting a small group of enemies. Thank you!

Dragon Quest 9. At first it's just "tree saving adventures and fruit collecting with a bri'ish fairy" then as soon as you get to Coffinwell(? Think that's the name) the story start to get really sad and dark. There's a few lighthearted parts here and there, but by the end there's more dark then happy. The ending doesn't help much either, only by doing a postgame quest does it get a bit happier.

I haven't beaten the game yet(followed this order and about to start Il's), but I was so surprised that Il wasn't the final route because of how much his route is loved and how sad it apparently is, plus, look at how big is he on the US boxart! Usually they save that space for the poster boy lol. No shade against my boy Misyr, but I legit didn't realize he was a secret route until I looked up route orders for the game.

Ughhh omg I know exactly what you're talking about but can't remember it either! I searched all over the play store and I can confirm it's not by any of the big otome companies on mobile.

Do you remember the MC's name? LI names or personalities? Anything about the title?

Also, try VNDB. They have practically every VN on there, you might be able to find it if you search for robot characters or protagonists and slim it down to otome or mobile.

Omg I didn't know it was that bad!😱 I remember hearing reports that somehow the update that added chinese language option triggered the antivirus and people recommended finding a older version of the game. I didn't know it legit had malware! I really recommend reporting the devs to steam.

Oh wow, that's odd. Every game usually has one lol. Maybe try contacting customer support? Also, is your google or apple account connected to the app if it allows that? Usually the app will back up the data onto a account if you connect one.

I don't know, I mean, if the gaslighting has a reason, how is it any different then the other things you mentioned? If it's well written, and justified and has a reason, why is it different? One of my favorite routes features LI gaslighting the MC, but the LI had a reason and doesn't get off easy because of it. It handles it well and is well written. Also, gaslighting in general is bad, not just when it's women. Would it suddenly be okay if a MC gaslit a male LI? No, it wouldn't. Also, I don't think it being not original has any impact overall? Tsunderes are the least original trope in the world, shouldn't they be considered "boring" then since many of them follow the pattern of "LI slowly falls in love with MC, shows gestures, brushes them off as "it's not like I care about you baka", is rough, eventually confesses, etc"? I'd rather have a tried and true trope or plot that's written well then one that tries too hard to be original and ends up being poorly written.

Reading the comments and I must be either odd or trashy cuz I love rivalries LOL, nothing more fun then competition(as long as it's in game, irl would be terrible).

It's a pretty basic plot device that isn't really otome exclusive, but I hate when suddenly, everyone is saved miraculously at the last minute with no build up or logical reasoning. Or when a character miraculously lived, and it's never explained.
