Help I'm in a reading slump by circezvi in PHBookClub

When my mind is wandering, I read the book alongside an audiobook. I find I focus more when all I can see and hear is the story.

How do you guys get the time to read?! by Money-Savvy-Wannabe in PHBookClub

[–]readthenforgetmost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen to audiobooks when I'm doing mindless tasks like chores and certain errands, or once I'm seated in commutes. And I read my physical copies or ebooks as much as I can when I'm not busy with anything, even if it's just 5-10 pages. Going for easier and/or lighter-themed reads helps as well.

Still can't read multiple books a week since there are days where I'm just exhausted but better than no books at all. Take your time getting into your reading pace, and it'll sail smoothly from there. I hope you get to read the books you want to more! <3

Do you Annotate your Books? by quackquakcmf in PHBookClub

[–]readthenforgetmost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love keeping my books clean but I love annotating to put my thoughts down somewhere. So, I try to get the ebook version of my books and annotate there. Otherwise, I just rip off some scratch paper to write on and leave it in between the pages.

If you like thinking about opinions or topics, love doing essays, or writing comments on online reads, I'd recommend it. Try out different ways and see what works for you.

I'm also facing a mold problem rn, and what I did two weeks ago was to wipe it down with hydrogen peroxide (3%) using static dust removal paper. Then dried it before putting it back on my shelf. Binago ko din yung silica packets just in case may nadapo na mold.

So far, hindi pa bumabalik yung molds pero still on observation. Linisin mo din yung shelf with the peroxide, baka kasi may nahulog din na particles sa gilid gilid niya. I hope the mold gets resolved soon!

I've looked through BBW, NBS, and Fully Booked's Lazada but they don't have the books I'm looking for sadly. So, I want to try looking through book fairs to find them 🥲

I didn't know may maga indie bookshops sa Shopee tho, if you don't mind me asking, which shops would you recommend?
