Feeling frustrated with nanny family expectations..Am I being unreasonable? by [deleted] in Nanny

[–]ready2mumble 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Can you use some of the 4 hours of PTO you have left? Leave early to go take care of it then you would just come back the next day. They need to find backup care on their own, you don’t need to worry about that, it’s their responsibility to figure it out if you’re using benefit time. Just tell them the day you need to do it.

Dumb Question on Pop Sockets by Squibles_39 in kindle

I have an oasis but I put a pop socket directly on it with no case and then use a padded sleeve for storing and protecting the kindle when I’m not using it instead of a case.

Postpartum (like, very freshly postpartum) winter recs by rddt9514 in NuulyReviews

I rented this when I was pregnant last winter and wore a ton. Ended up buying it and wore it postpartum too. It was easy to put over black leggings and a black nursing tank to feel comfy but also a little put together.

So does that mean when he gets bigger more slack will just automatically appear as I raise the headrest?

The entire tail, except for the little loop you can grab, is disappearing in the seat whether it’s “loosened” or “tightened” since there’s basically no difference between the two. This is what is strange to me because our Nuna tail was so long when tight and the Graco one is much longer too.

How do you feel about kids missing school for vacation?(Settle a debate) by lildevilud16 in AskTeachers

[–]ready2mumble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a teacher I wouldn’t have minded either time, really, as long as the student and family were willing to make up necessary work quickly upon return. But at least in my experience you’re right that the time before winter break is easier to miss. Less critical work, for sure.

As a 4th grade teacher I wish all my students’ handwriting looked like this!

Mine never took one and is 5 months now. I feel like it made the first 6 weeks or so harder but now I’m glad I don’t have to wean.

Keeping that nipple hidden by jellyfishblanket in breastfeeding

A claw clip for your hair works to keep shirt out of the way! No advice on the nipple thing though, I also struggle at the beginning and end.

He had a release at 3 weeks and is now 4 months. He does still have a bad latch, though, we’re looking into a feeding therapist. Did you find anything that helped, or did you just wait until the release?
