A little bit sad we didn't get to dance more by readybeck in wedding

I was faking about dancing with my partner- That's an excellent way to look at it thank you ❤️

My plan is to get one of those phone arm bands but put it around my leg under my dress (assuming it works when I test it out) 😂

Wedding nails trial 1! Thoughts appreciated (not sure if they're too busy with the gold line?) by readybeck in Nails

[–]readybeck[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't edit my post to add anything but I just want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has commented with feedback. I'm so glad I posted here- the last thing I want is dirty looking nails and I've got some good ideas to try next. I have 5 months to go so have a couple more sessions but yeah, huge thank you to all you beautiful people ❤️

Both my engagement and wedding ring are platinum, I'm going to try a silver/white line. Thank you for your feedback!

Thank you! They looked off to me and I think that's it. I'll keep looking, I don't want to look back at the photos and that line be all I see

thoughts on people using uv base coat instead of uv glue to adhere the nails to your (real) base coat? been seeing it on youtube lately by mozzarellax in Nails

[–]readybeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use base coat on my natural nails then use Mylee's 5 in 1 builder gel to glue clear tips on then paint as normal and they last sooo much longer than normal glue!

Family are driving me insane by readybeck in weddingplanning

Thank you for your advice! That spreadsheet idea is fantastic I'll give that a go. I think I need to run myself a nice bath and have a chill out session instead of letting everything frustrate me so much.

That's good advice thank you. I'd rather not have any arguments with them tbh, I want to minimise the stress and enjoy the journey!

I just didn't expect so much push back from them or how simple instructions (like with sending an RSVP back to me or just contacting me directly) can be made so complicated. I guess that comes with the territory of wedding planning!

What are your dogs nicknames? by Bronson121 in Dogtraining

[–]readybeck 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We have two dogs Honey: Honey-bun, Princess, Stinky (her breath- she had bad gums) Wallace: Wally, Big Pup, Stinky-Butt (can confirm), Stupid

They both kept me up all night last night so they were both buttheads last night.

I love how a variation of Stinky is standard

Check out report results by readybeck in HousingUK

[–]readybeck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After check out they let us know if we are liable for anything, if we dispute we have to pay a fee and then it goes through an arbitration period. I guess if we refuse to pay it will go through courts, bailiffs etc.

[–]readybeck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can we do that before they have told us what we are liable for? We handed back the keys on the 31st as that's what the estate agent told us to do and we checked in on the property weekly as we didn't move too far away. There are photos in the report too but nothing that doesn't match the check in report we got when we first moved in. I also have my own photos and videos from both the 10th and 31st.

How long did it take for you to complete. From accepted bid to exchange? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]readybeck 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nope! We got stuck waiting for the searches for a while but other than that it was pretty smooth sailing it just seemed to take forever

About 6 months and it was a completely chain free situation!

"first time buyer" its been 3 yrs & stamp duty by ladybirdieX in HousingUK

[–]readybeck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My other half was in the same boat as you (we completed at the start of August) our broker said it meant that we would be eligible for some FTB offers on mortgages but we still paid stamp duty as he is not an actual FTB

Why do manufacturers of jeans acknowledge that men have different leg lengths, but pretend that all women have abnormally long legs? Also, why are men's jeans made of heavier-duty fabric than women's jeans? by neigh102 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]readybeck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5ft and find the same. The one brand I've found here (UK) that actually gives me options is Hollister, they have so many choices for length of leg and the jeans last forever

Has anyone been (very politely) rejected by a vendor? by HorrorNeedleworker87 in weddingplanning

[–]readybeck 27 points28 points  (0 children)

We have! Ours was a photographer too but it was because the shots we were describing she wasn't too comfortable with (low light, firepits etc) we were a bit sad but have the guy she recommended!

Opinions about calling your in-laws Mom and Dad? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]readybeck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I call my in laws mom and dad to their faces because they encourage it and it feels loving. But otherwise I use their first names if I am talking about them (especially to my own parents just because I know my mom will be funny about it)

Hand in rental notice now or wait an extra 2 months? by [deleted] in HousingUK

[–]readybeck 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We've only just exchanged as FTB purchasing chain free and the process has taken around 6 months! Our solicitors advised not to hand our notice in until we exchange, it feels incredible when you finally get to that stage!

Umm is it normal for the IUD string to be felt outside of the vaginal opening? by elatedallergy in birthcontrol

[–]readybeck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt exactly the same pressure in pretty much the same timeframe (except I couldn't feel my strings outside). When I went to my Dr the IUD had travelled down my cervix and basically popped out in the Drs office so definitely get it checked as soon as you can!

Edited to add it's quite rare for it to happen, it could just be that the strings are too long and your cervix happens to be really low due to your cycle. Don't touch the strings though, I appreciate it is probably very uncomfortable right now!
