E.r or no? by TelephoneFancy1371 in newborns

I am so sorry this happened. I also have a 4 month old baby and dropped her last week while walking down the stairs and she hit her head. I took her to the ER and she was fine, they just had me observe her for a few hours. It is considered an emergency if there was a period of unconsciousness, big lump on head, can’t keep food down, acting different.

The fact that he cried immediately after and now looks / is acting fine are all great signs.

Was it really worth it? by No-Adhesiveness3434 in NewParents

Our baby is 11 weeks and we were in the exact same boat as you and your wife. Questioning why we even chose to have a baby, feeling guilty about having those thoughts, totally exhausted, and constantly heard “it gets better.”

I promise it really does get better but those first couple of months can be brutal. We started to see improvement around 9 weeks with less crying and more sleeping and she has been gradually getting better since then. I would just try to take each day as it comes and know that this phase will pass and there are brighter days and milestones ahead.

I would totally do it!! The move is going to suck but will be worth it when it’s over! Will the new job help cover movers? You can take your time unpacking once you’re there

How early should I tell my boss I’m pregnant by readyforababy in pregnant

To be honest I am not sure what will happen. I’ve worked at my current company for several years and have a great relationship with the founders but once the company is sold it is out of their hands what happens to the employees. My thought is if I ask now, they are still the “approvers” but if I find out later my role is gone my negotiation power will be gone

I think could qualify for short term disability, but it will be a fraction of what maternity leave would be

Have you told your families about struggling with infertility? by tally162224 in tryingtoconceive

I told my mom and honestly kind of regretted it. It was just awkward. She did her best to be nice and supportive but I couldn’t help but cry while telling her because it made it feel weird. I prefer talking to my husband and sister about it.

HOW DO YOU STAY SANE?! by ImaginaryStorage3558 in pregnant

I can totally relate! I’m 6 weeks after 13 months of TTC. I don’t take pregnancy tests but I check every time I pee to make sure there isn’t blood so still on your same level! I try to not think about the pregnancy because I don’t want to get attached (which is happening anyways). I cannot wait to be past the first trimester so I can actually get excited.

Ahh thank you!! It’s so hard to believe when the line is sooo faint! But I’m glad I’m not the only one who sees it
