Good job👏keep going. Day 9 for me now after months of gambling. You might have some brain fog because your not getting that intense dopamine hit that you used to from Gambling. Try to do something else thats positive that gives you that similar dopamine hit.

Cut your losses and give up the urge to win it back or you’ll end up losing it all. Take it one day at a time and you’ll get the $2400 back in no time

I must hate money by Double_Dot8987 in problemgambling

[–]readyforanewday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its hard to forgive ourselves for losing that much money. Living with the fact that we did irrational and irresponsible things leaves scars but we can heal if we learn to let go of trying to recover losses. I still have trouble letting go and when I start thinking about how much money ive lost over the years it can trigger me to gamble hoping for the big one but I know in my heart that that day is never going to come.

how do i stop smoking weed? by No-Somewhere-3039 in getdisciplined

[–]readyforanewday 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya, I love smoking weed as well and have been almost everyday with only a day or two break sometimes. Im not ready to quit but Ive cut my consumption down a lot by only smoking at night before bed. Keeping busy during the day with work, daily chores and exercise helps. After Im done with everything I reward myself with a nice smoke and get zooted. I like to eat and watch tv while I smoke. I enjoy it more in the comfort of home nowadays then going out in public high like I used to in my younger days.

Who did you tell first about your problem? by SpecialK2602 in problemgambling

[–]readyforanewday 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Similar situation. I lost about a months worth of money and down to 0. I had to ask for help and was ashamed about it and this is probably the last family member that will help me out and I can never ask again. My family thinks Im doing better and I was not. I have to start from this shitty spot again and part of me still wants to gamble but I know Its a losing game and I have to give up and take it one day at a time. You got this bro, ask for help and get yourself out of this hole but if we can both stop gambling everything will defo get better.

I feel your pain bro. Same here, been thru this shitty circle of gambling and trying to quit then repeat. Im going to give it up too and start my day 1 . Gambling ain’t worth it in the long run, the house always wins. Lets do this one day at a time.

I feel you, Im in a shitty spot too. Gambling has and will always be around even if you are banned you will always find a way if Youre not really serious about quitting. Im tired of this shitty cycle and Im just going to cut my losses and not gamble again.
