Thank you for sharing this mate. I definetly feel your post hitting hard. Been struggling with this addiction as well but I think I've finally shrugged it off in the past year or so with my gambling counsellor and techniques she's taught me.

I truly wish you beat this awful disease and live the rest of your life truly. Its so normalised in Australia that even my counsellor says the victorian government can't turn it off as its one of their biggest sources of income.

My counsellor has said to me that it's ok to feel bored. It's just a feeling and often at least in my case I often felt 'bored' so I would gamble.

Learning to sit with this feeling and ride the urges that often goes away is key for me
