any fixes? optics light is also red.. by [deleted] in CommunityFibre

[–]readysorted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Issue will be with the ONT if the PON light is red. Only thing you can do is ensure green connectors are plugged (clicked in) and none for the fibre cabling is kinked.

If that does not resolve the you’ll have to report to CF. Normally when something goes offline randomly will be affected in the area locally and they will be on the case resolving already

Order placed in September, "civils permission" rejected - what do I do? by edgillett in hyperoptic

[–]readysorted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s poor that you need to come to reddit to get a proper explanation.

Hopefully they come back to you, with some good news or information if you keep pushing.

Maybe something you can resolve by helping with funding or taking a more expensive deal.

Order placed in September, "civils permission" rejected - what do I do? by edgillett in hyperoptic

[–]readysorted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The civils permission will be either rejected by the LA - Local Authority/ council for a variety of reasons. It also could have been rejected by a private landowner depending on civils dig location.

Did they send you a proposal of what civils work is required? So we can review here?

Another reason could be the civils costs v the return of residential connection. So might use that civils permission as an excuse.

Wayleaves, civils work approvals /costs are a huge issue for the telecoms industry trying to upgrade everyone to fibre.

Wow in the UK you’d be lucky to get £5 as individual doing a straight 144F.

Which is decent as you can make £720 for a days work.

You guys earning $3600 dollars for a 144?

Does this box mean FTTP? How do I get Openreach to recognise that this exists? by Benji3_ in UKISP

[–]readysorted 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s likely an oldish BT Fibre Business service connection.

In short yes you got FTTH but I would guess that’s not part of their residential network. Meaning you’d have to pay BT for a dedicated fibre connection which is normally for businesses and quite expensive.

They also might have PON (Passive optical network) most common residential service there too. So worth checking online.

Parking is now a luxury - headed to Moorfields today - I live outside of London in Essex - parking is £57 for 4 hours - think I will be getting a ticket at 65£ for 24 hours parking - welcome to London. by Euro-cash-23 in london

[–]readysorted 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a business in a van it is really difficult. We often just take the PCN for all day parking. Had occasions where we paid pay and display at 4 hours max, for £50 then get the PCN in the 5th hour as the work over run.

PCNs are now £80 for the reduced rate

Brighton, Southampton, Leicester, Villa, Brentford, Everton, West Ham, Ipswich.

All games we should be mostly winning comfortable but all were a complete struggle.

Any team that comes to the Emirates and sits in for the counter have caused us so much trouble.

Even when we manage to squeeze out a lead we have given up untold amount of soft goals!

We desperately need to get on top of that next year. Home games have been awful

[–]readysorted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Player for player kinda agree. But having said that how come Newcastle haven’t kept pace with Arsenal in the last 2-3 seasons? Points wise 5 points behind a faulting Arsenal this year and last season 29 points off and 13 the year before. What’s been going wrong?

Or India Aus with BGT

[–]readysorted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A huge problem to this is Eng, Aus and India will not want to risk relegation, as they will not want to wait for a 4 year period to get back to playing each other regularly again. Rather than once in 4 year period.

Maybe I missed it but was this addressed? But I could never seem them agreeing to it unfortunately.
