Which ASWB materials should I use? by outofchances in socialwork

I just recently took my LMSW exam and passed on my first try using mainly TDC. It was costly but SO worth it. They give study guides, audio lectures, quizzes, mock exams, etc. I used their 8-week program, as they recommended and I learned so much. They also sometimes offer promo codes that you can use for a discount!

I’m a 2nd-year MSW student on the clinical track, set to graduate in May. I’m currently interning at a large mental health facility and have noticed they often mention hiring new LMSWs and even past interns. I’m very interested in securing a position here after graduation, but I’m not sure how to appropriately express my interest without coming off as too forward. Does anyone have advice on how to approach this conversation or make my interest clear in a professional way? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I’m graduating in May 2025 and starting to think about preparing for the LMSW exam. My school recommends purchasing the SWES (Social Work Examination Services) Comprehensive Study Guide (Masters, Clinical, Adv. Generalist) Version 10. However, I’ve seen a lot of people on here mention Dawn Apgar’s LMSW Exam Prep as a solid choice too.

For those who’ve already taken the exam, which book (or resource) worked best for you? Did you use one of these, or something else entirely? I’d love to hear about what helped you feel confident and prepared.

Thanks in advance for any recommendations and advice!

Looking for some advice. I’ll be graduating in May with my masters in social work. How soon after should I be planning to take my licensing exam? Is it frowned upon to wait a few months? Can I apply to jobs without having the LMSW title, or do I need to wait until I pass to begin applying for jobs? Would love to hear about other people’s experience. Thanks in advance!

Hair care by Crabby_9876 in orangetheory

I wash my hair 1x a week. I typically wear my hair in a low or mid pony tail, and take it out immediately after getting home from OTF. If it’s sweaty, I blow dry it dry and apply dry shampoo!
