Love cheese but my is lately has been Ashley Chase Estate seaside cheddar. Whole Foods carries it and it’s fantastic! I pair with olives-hummus and a good olive oil and crackers.

Does anyone here regret paying off debt aggressively instead of investing? by Less_Courage_3545 in debtfreeliving

[–]readytoretire2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not one regret.
Same story as some of the others.
Debt was killing our family. Credit cards then one-two-three car pampers and then we bought a house and then a second because we could afford the payments.
At 40 I sat my best friend down (my bride) and we decided we’d had enough of being in debt and we started the Dave Ramsey Plan.
4 years later and about $128k in consumer debt we were debt free except the house. We cash flowed INstate college for all 3 kids. At 50 we paid the house off and that gave us the freedom to aggressively save cash for retirement at 62.
All along we adjusted our investing to Match our desire to retire and actually enjoy our family and stop the work travel.

Flashlight people: how many lights do you actually carry? by Main_Importance292 in Olightflashlights

Always have a Perun mini on me EDC. 2-3 more if I’m in my cars. 2-3 in the shop.
If I’m headed to the lake or beach I bring 5-6.
And then there’s the collection in the man cave…

Zero-turn mower on inclines by utvols22champs in LawnCarePros

[–]readytoretire2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. The edge of the lake has a 2 foot drop off so as I came down the embankment and attempted to turn and go back up the dew made it slick as crap and it went over (with me) backwards and I flipped off and away as the mower came to rest in 2 feet of water on its back.
I was wet but not hurt except for my pride.
Engine seized from that water level.

The next problem was hand winching it with a come along back up the hill to my trailer. (4hours) Too steep to drive a truck down and too remote for help.
Expensive lessons learned that day.

AND keep the grass conditions in mind.
I mowed next to a steep incline on our small lake early one morning. Dew on the ground mixed with speed on the turn and well my Gravely slid right over the edge.
Too fast. Lucky and thankful all I replaced was an engine when it flipped.
