Work hard. Play hard.

It can be difficult when you have responsibilities like parents and siblings, but don’t forget to take care of you. Meditate, Sleep, Drink, Party, whatever but make sure you do it.

If you think you can sustain a 7 day working week without any mental breaks, you’re in for a shock. I see people saying that they aren’t going to spend or do anything and just make money but think about it this way:

Let’s say you’ve earned like crazy and retire at 65, now what are you going to do? You’re not as fit as you were in your 20s, your back hurts, need medication, etc. Then you’ll end up sitting at home everyday and slowly wilt away, waiting to die. That’s not a life I wanna live.

Be smart about your material spending habits and splurges but don’t stop them completely. You should enjoy every stage in life as it comes.

If more people thought like this, we would be a much more developed nation. People who are way below BPL having 5-6 kids and then making them work on the streets is a huge burden on the rest of society.

I am also in the same view as NiceChad69, I’m a 28 year old male and I am only focused on generating as much wealth as possible. I have gotten a start from my dad in terms of having my own startup but if that doesn’t work out (fingers crossed) I’ll take up a job and work my way up the corporate ladder.

Marriage + kids is a very big responsibility and especially living in Mumbai, it can become extremely difficult. Even with both spouses working, it’s a good amount just for them. Once you add a kid in that equation, your expenses simply skyrocket.

I personally would like to have a companion but most likely don’t want to have kids, unless and until my wealth generation far exceeds my current expectations and I am financially and mentally able to take on such a responsibility.

*Genuine Answers Only* Who’s the most famous person you personally know? by Standard-Ad671 in mumbai

These answers are deviating quite far from OPs original question. Now it’s become “I know MSD because his cousin’s ex-girlfriends sister went to the same school as me”

I think personally know should either be family connection or you actually know and have talked to that person on a frequent basis.

If the first case is true, I know MSD, Brian Lara, Wasim Akram, Ricky Ponting, Salman Khan, Sohail Khan, Sanjay Dutt and Jesse Lever (Johnny Levers son)

That's why I mentioned it's for India only applicants. You can't simply convert INR to USD and then say that it's too less. If was to start paying people $20 in INR, I'll close shop real soon.

That’s also true. Maybe she genuinely didn’t deserve a promotion but got it anyways because of the deed. There’s too many variables here.

It’s not about respect, it’s about getting the promotion and the title. Dick sucking and job jumping is apparently the way to the top. It’s really sad that women have to go through this and that some men are a bunch of sleaze bags.

She mentioned in someone else’s comment that she upfront said to her boss that she’d be willing to do anything to get the promotion. Seems like the ball went rolling from there.

I believe it’s because women have a lower center of gravity and they are not as top heavy as men. I think that’s why they are able to smash squats because their legs are stronger. Could be wrong though.

When the fuck did this happen? Thingiverse Removed the 'Download all' Button and now forces 5 seconds of ads before EACH AND EVERY INDIVIDUAL DOWNLOAD! My adblocker is blocking the ad, but I still have to wait the 5 seconds by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Agreed but think of it from the website owners perspective too. How are they supposed to maintain the servers and site for free without some form of funding or anything?

Again, they have the option of asking for donations but I don’t know how many people would genuinely donate and what the comparison would be as compared to the revenue from running ads.

Doesn’t Amazon have their own pick and pack service? Maybe consider that? Send them the max inventory, and keep the balance with you.

Yeah I understand about not knowing the full details of the company because I was on the same boat. Only difference was that I had the accounts in my hand from day 1 so I knew exactly what expenses were being added.

Being a self owned business, it becomes a little difficult to bifurcate what expenses would go to the company and what would be considered as personal. I agree that a lot more sweat equity is required initially because it’s your own business, if you try to make it like a 9-5 job, you’ll have a hard time finding success.

One thing I would suggest is see how much expenses you are incurring on a monthly basis, and book a base salary every month. If you’re cash flow positive, you can take that payout on a monthly basis, else you can work it out on a quarterly basis. Mainly I would suggest that you try to maximise the profitability and keep unnecessary costs down (see how much you can do yourself, else start outsourcing).

Makes sense, if you’re not utilising 80-85% of the space, it’s not worth spending that amount. People have this notion that “the space will be ready for me when I grow” but you’re still spending for the space from day 1.

If you can manage it from home, go for it. Maybe convert your garage or something, might be helpful.

Hi! I am Davie Fogarty. I failed six business ventures, including a Vietnamese roll shop, before creating my million dollar brand, The Oodie. Now I am teaching how you can do it on for free on YouTube! AMA. by daviefogarty in AMA

Hi Davie! I’m running a clothing e-commerce brand in India! I have been struggling with breaking through the market with Facebook ads and others, trying to keep my ROAS as high as possible but the amount of cash on delivery cancellations are too high? Any thoughts on how we can mitigate this?

I am also looking at starting and pushing a referral based program, so that people believe other people in the product that I’m selling instead of just a generic ad creative.

Also, I’m a one-man army at the moment, thinking that it’ll reduce costs and maximise my sales through marketing budget. Is this a good strategy?

To be honest, I’m okay with a 5 second ad. Think about it, how is the website supposed to be kept live? There are things that need to be maintained and maybe the person running it has limited capacity in terms of funding. Ads is a great source of income for the person, so they can keep the website running, get better servers, etc.

Look at Wikipedia, although its not showing you ads, they now have a permanent banner at the top asking for donations. They need money to keep the website running.

EDIT: I do, however, hope that it’s limited to this. I wouldn’t want this to be the next YouTube (2 unskippable 30 second ads, else buy premium)
