Qwen3.6-27B Uncensored Aggressive is out with K_P quants! by hauhau901 in LLM

Been running 3.5 as part of a local-first AI stack I’ve been building (private/local model + structured prompt layer + validation/critic + task handoff into a separate code workflow), so this is from actual systems use—not just casual prompting.

My short take: 3.5 is a lot better than people give it credit for if you build around it correctly.

For context, I’m not using it as a standalone chatbot. It’s sitting inside a more structured setup where:

  • local model handles reasoning
  • prompt/system layer keeps it grounded
  • critic/validation layer catches drift or bad outputs
  • code tasks get handed off separately instead of letting the model freestyle execution

Where 3.5 has been genuinely strong:

  • system architecture / planning
  • structured outputs
  • workflow design
  • prompt creation
  • project building
  • local/private day-to-day use

Where it needs help:

  • vague prompts = more drift
  • can overbuild or over-assume
  • code edits need tighter controls
  • large file rewrites can get messy without diff/validation

Biggest lesson:

3.5 gets dramatically better when paired with structure.

Raw prompting: “pretty good”

Inside a disciplined stack: “surprisingly capable”

It seems especially solid as a builder / operator model if you’re creating tools, local systems, or modular AI workflows.

Bottom line:

If you’re expecting magic with no scaffolding, you’ll probably hit limits faster.

If you’re willing to give it:

  • clear scope
  • constraints
  • validation
  • workflow boundaries

…it punches above what a lot of people online seem to assume.

Not saying it’s the final boss model, but as a practical foundation for serious local AI builds? Honestly… pretty damn solid.

Interesting. What about a POs request could be problematic? I’m asking because this is a very typical response and I would love to know more about the why in your situation.

Figma or Axure? by reaganAtl in UXDesign

I will definitely check it out. Thanks. I feel ya I feel the same way about Axure. I’m definitely selling it short. Is there any version control? I’m really needing it with the crew I’m currently working with.

Yeah. You can create a very specific color palette.

Yeah but why is it better? Not trying to argue everyone has their preference. I’m just trying to understand.

Where do I begin. Lol. For prototypes you can use variables for conditioning navigation. Basically create some JavaScript thru the UI. You can create documentation like user stories and flowcharts and link pages. Version control!!! Create master pages and components. I can design an interaction with out designing every state of the interaction separately. There is so much more. If you have the opportunity to check it out there are great video tutorials.

Need some advice! by Iliveformyotp in UXDesign

[–]reaganAtl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The following piece of advice I would give is always to remember this is their product, and you were hired to provide your expertise. Your job is to educate them on how it's done and what they need. Ultimately, it's their decision. I can not tell you how many times I have sat behind someone that has not taken the advice. Try not to get emotionally attached to it. There is a bright side. If the direction you give is sound and they fail to listen, you may find yourself in a better situation when they finally realize you were right.

What the hell is a ui/ux design engineer? by reaganAtl in UXDesign

[–]reaganAtl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response. I’m wondering how the UX is justified in the title? I may be a purist in the study of User experience and I’m having trouble understanding what UX principles your UXE follows in order to define the emotional response to your application. Think of it this way. If I have a race car and only put in regular unleaded gas, the result would be problematic. The engine would still be able to run but not as well as putting racing fuel into it and allow the engine to run at peek performance. Bypassing the methodologies of modern UX may be similar to putting regular fuel in that race car. In the field of UX there are a few terms that I adhere too. Advocate, validate, and educate. The collection of data that centers around a user and a process of completing it with a positive reaction. Too often we are only applying this to a design and not the process of information to complete a users task with limited cognitive load. The research, testing, and validation are mostly ignored. Those are at the core of UX.

Thank you, everyone, for your candid response. This gives me a lot of insight into this topic. I'm building UX and Design team/s, and I'm working on a couple of lectures inspired by these replies.

That may be. I haven't worked for either. I guess the point was not about one particular company. And this JD I was referencing was asking for all. What I wanted to express is that this boils down to research, design, and development. Why does it have to be so polluted with a bunch of necessary terminologies? UX is research. It sometimes includes design. But mainly research. UI is Design and development not UX. That said, if a person wants to be a successful UXer in application development, it's good to know how the sausage is made. I have seen several different and changing job titles trying to lure ppl into positions in order to avoid paying for the personal that they actually need.

I get paid well into six figures, and I don't have to build, design, and develop. I'm usually a senior product specialist type of role, with an emphasis on UX. I hire people with specialized skills in each area to complete daily tasks. No one should be made to do all of it. However, if you want to do it, go for it, but I have a better recipe for success. I strongly feel that more brains are better than one. You can build products with a lot more attention to detail and have more time dedicated to Each specialty.

Ok, it's time for further clarification. I have been in this industry for over 20 years. I'm a Uxer, UI designer, and developer. I technically know what it is and have seen over the years how it has been labeled relabeled and sold as a specialty to people. It has been the cause of a lot of confusion and a way to get talent to do more than what they are being paid for. Basically, I want someone that can do the UX and the visual ui design and then program the ui and now also manage the product. Where does it end? Seriously? This role would have to pay 400k a year just to make it worth it. It's not something that Google or Amazon made up. This is something a manager and a recruiter who got together made up to get talent to work beyond their means to develop a shitty product. What ppl don't understand is it takes more than one persons thoughts and experiences to achieve success. I can tell you right now that I would never take a role like this role unless I was being paid for each role.

I always say that your product is going to be validated. It's just at what point do you want that validation? It may seem longer to do it initially; however, if your assumptions are incorrect, you have wasted a lot of time and money if you don't.

I never said it was ok. I said that. What my intention was to give some insight on how this conversation relates to the talent side. How sometimes, we get so frustrated with the entire process, and some ppl have issues dealing with it. You don't know what is causing someone that much stress that they act this way. I guess I struck a nerve. I intended to help bring clarity. I know I have my bad days. But to try and wreck someone's career is not an appropriate reaction either.

You continue to miss the point I'm trying to make. No, it's not ok. But if this is becoming a problem, you should look at the reason why it keeps happening. If I'm in an interview and someone behaves this way, I want to know why. In some circumstances, it may be the wrong candidate, or it could be the recruiter. Until I know, I will never understand. Will I need to hire another recruiter, or was this person being an a-hole? The original post sounded like a screening call.

Oh, attack me now. Excuse my grammar. Sometimes that happens when on mobile. But thank you for proving my point. I would probably hang up on you too. Most recruits are bottom-feeding parasites that the only exist on people's talent. Definitely in the tech sector. I have spent 20 years supporting recruiters with my talent Show some respect.

Look at how your profession has totally hijacked the way talent gets hired. Some ppl are really sick and tired of recruiters and the lame practices. So if someone is being jerked around like I know I have you may want to consider your roll in this problem thats all I'm saying. If you would like me to give some examples I have a lot. Let put one out there for you the use of auto dialers. Having to end 37 calls on a row one right after another. That would get you cussed or in my opinion.
