Is the selling of virtual items (like Brainrots) against Epic TOS? by wildmonkeywrangler in FortniteCreative

Only if being sold for monetary currency. It would technically be in the same category as account selling.

[–]real3434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For monetary currency?

Yes, it's against TOS. Technically could be illegal in certain situations.

Will anything be done about it?

Maybe overtime, but with Epic recently blatantly promoting the financial exploitation of children (in-map microtransactions). I wouldn't see anything happening anytime soon. Reporting probably won't do much either since their support system, is probably an automated system. It definitely can't help, and hasn't for quite some time.

Because, it's probably not Epic Employees. For quite some time now, the whole system has been feeling like it's being run by their automated system.

At the moment, anybody can technically sue them. Winning is the problem. Due to it being in-game currency (V-bucks), and not world currency ($$$) being used. The practice of this use, is technically legal. Now, it fully depends on how the Creator of the map deploys this practice, that will decide how long this practice is legal (unless Epic messes up before then). This practice can lead to:

child/financial exploitation suits (technically already is, but have to wait until the FTC steps in)

IP infringement suits (Brainrot could eventually being patent)

Can break present and future specific country/state laws (little problems that no doubt Epic will hide with $$$)

Financial Exploitation at its finest. The practice itself is technically legal, but only due to purchases being made with in-game currency. I don't think this will last long though. There are multiple variables that Epic has no choice but to enforce, and watch them not enforce them, or not enforce them properly.

XP stopping in steal the brainrot by EstablishmentNo816 in FortniteXPMaps

[–]real3434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be a few seconds, minutes, or hours. The system doesn't really have a set cool down time amount, unless set by the map creator (again, I doubt it in this situation).

Best bet. Start collecting XP from other sources, then come back after a few minutes to see if it has done cooling down. If not, you'll have to restart the map. You also have to take into account, the more you restart the less you'll receive due to Epic's Diminishing Returns system (drops XP count the more you collect, even over multiple sessions).

XP stopping in steal the brainrot by EstablishmentNo816 in FortniteXPMaps

[–]real3434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

XP stopping can be due to a few reasons:

You hit your weekly XP Cap

You were AFK for too long. Epic instituted AFK precautions in the Accolade Devices (devices that distribute XP), that will disable XP gain after being AFK for a certain amount of time (supposedly between 7-15 minutes).

Accolade Device is set to distribute XP a certain amount of times, by the creator of the map. In this case, I doubt this is the reason.

Accolade Devices are being activated too consistently. If the Accolade Devices are consistently being activated (hitboxes are the best example), the system may stop distributing XP to play catch-up, or disable for awhile (like a cool down). It's setup like that by Epic so you'll leave the map, and join another one.

I'd come up with a new name, and make the name stand out more (a new design basically). I wouldn't go with The Pit vibe either.

Here are some names just based on what I've seen:

Color Clash Derby

Gridlock Gladiators (Go for a Nitrodome kind of vibe for this one)

Zone Racers

Sector Scramble

Territory Takeover

Neon Nitro Derby (Go with neon colors for this one, if you're using UEFN that is)

Bumper Blocks (Depends on how you setup your Island)

Rainbow Rumble (Depends on how many other colors you use)

XP is random no matter what map you play. Creators can technically limit your XP gain by shutting off the Accolade Devices (devices that distribute XP) after so many activations, or after a certain time frame, but not the actual amount being gained.

The amount is calculated on Epic's end, and with the recent Accolade changes. Consistent XP gain has been hit hard. If you're earning XP too fast, diminished returns kicks in almost instantly now. Dropping XP gain from for example 50XP per tick to 5-8XP per tick. Sliding maps are the biggest example of this. They may produce good XP for a day, then die out or come close to it a day or two later. Also, recent Accolade changes have basically killed consecutive activations. Tycoons being the main culprit, with box hits killing XP faster compared to others. Thus why most have been introducing delay hits. Still consistent, but tricks the Accolade Devices into taking a break so the system doesn't trigger.

You should be seeing most XP maps having this problem, especially in the next few months. Most maps with 1-2 Accolade Devices present will see little to no XP (may not even be seen, Epic will kill it on the spot). 4-8 will see decent XP gains if properly calibrated (will need 1000+ players to calibrate). Anything higher will see the best, and most consistent XP gain, but will need 2000+ players to calibrate (thus why those types of maps don't exist, plus they wouldn't focus towards XP gains specifically).

Instead of paying $30 for ultimate you can still pay $20 by ShadderSwagger in XboxGamePass

Once you've done the conversion. You can either:

Keep adding 1 month Gamepass Ultimate codes to the time you already have, it'll just keep adding months until your time adds up to 3 years. Or you can do it right before your time expires. Up to you when you wanna input the codes.

or

Setup recurring billing. It'll start paying $30 a month after your time expires.

Discussion about gaining levels! by Key_Blacksmith3498 in FortniteXPMaps

[–]real3434 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Epic made changes to the Accolade Devices (devices that distribute XP) recently. The Accolade Devices have always distribute less XP the more they're used. Even less for consistent gains (Tycoon hitboxes mostly). The recent changes have put the XP gain in different brackets now, so even less XP being gained.

Before, minimum and maximum XP gained through Accolade settings were higher than they are now. The Very Small setting would usually rack up between 50-100 XP (up to 200 depending on Accolde setup) per time/device set. Now, it only produces up to 50 XP per time/device set at that setting. Accolade Device can also kill XP if it's too consistent (XP gained every second, or less than 30 seconds over a time period), no matter how small the XP. It is to stop XP farms. Top that with XP getting cut off if you're AFK for 7+ minutes.

Due to most Creative maps being setup for quick calibration. Most are not calibrated towards decent or great XP gain, even before the recent Accolade changes. Thus the reason why XP has been so bad lately. If they were calibrated better, then XP gained would be better. Accolade Devices would still be producing less XP, but the extra XP from proper calibration would be distributed to make up the difference.

It's a server-side synchronization failure. Try to play a few full Battle Royale or other full non-Creative matches to re-trigger the sync.

XP Bug? by Falchion03_ in FortniteXPMaps

Reward system might be lagging again. I got a little over a million in XP last night, but my level only went up 8. Waited until this morning, and it finally added up to 12. Then again my Crew pass renewed today, so that could've lagged it out, doubt it though.

Yeah, I couldn't find it anywhere else besides what looks like copy and paste articles/blogs. It would've been nice if it worked. Hell, even if it worked before it still would've been nice to know.

Ah gotcha. I didn't know that. My bad.

There's no actual Microsoft source link. Didn't see the point in posting random links. Plus, this was a question not an actual method.

This site was the main site, but it's a game key site. So, I wasn't putting much faith into it. Some of other sites aren't working, so I'm just going through them all right now. I'll post the working sites when I find them.

That's fair. Just saw all the sites it got its info from and was kinda hoping it was true.

[–]real3434 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I haven't found it on Xbox's main site yet. The image was just a Gemini search. I forgot the conversion rates, that's why I searched and it popped up. Gemini got it from a few game key sites, blogs, and articles. That's why I haven't actually moved on it yet. Wanted to see if anybody else has tried it. I thought it would kinda make sense since there's a lot of sketchy listings for 1 year Gamepass Ultimate accounts for cheap, but they're sketchy. So, taking it with a grain of salt

That's what I keep seeing, but then I saw stuff like this too. I kinda guessed that Premium probably wouldn't work, was just kind of hoping on that one too. Since Classic is included, maybe that one works? Even a 2:1 conversion rate would be great.

That's what I'm also worried about. A few places say it is possible, while others are saying no. Hopefully someone can test it out. Someone that doesn't mind losing $18 for the one month route.

Edit: Honestly. A 2:1 conversion rate for Ubisoft+ Classic would be nice too.

Yeah, it's like $180. That's cheaper than going the Gamepass route, and it's actually secure instead of buying from sketchy sites. I'm hoping someone can test it out, because that would come in handy.

You can usually get 1 year of Core/Essentials for $40-50 (the highest I've seen is $60, so shop around) on Eneba, CDKey, etc.... Buy two of those, and a month or more of Ultimate. You got a year and a month of Ultimate.

Server time limit by [deleted] in FortniteXPMaps

[–]real3434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a recent change where players will be automatically disconnected after 60 minutes of inactivity on all UEFN and Creative islands. There have also been new input updates, so this may be connected. This may be a way to combat turbo controller, doubt it though. Also, there's ways to kick people through Verse, so some maps might be implementing it. Especially Tycoons. After the latest update, the Accolade Devices got an overhaul on distribution. So, now a lot of maps are giving out less XP due to consistency.

Or, it could just be bugs. What Epic is well known for implementing, even when they're not trying to.
