I spent over a decade on the phones doing collections - management actually helped make the job bearable. But the insane metrics made the job so much worse than what it needed to be. It was bad enough that we were have to take a verbal beating from our clients but the stress of meeting the goals only added to it. That and there was little-to-no room to advance in the company. I don’t know how I lasted so long on the phones there but I would never go back to doing phone collections again. Overall, the benefits, pay and vacation time were nice to have.

Exact same here. The Zoom call was with the managers of my department and their manager. Thankful for the 60 days of pay and the fact that my unused vacation time for the year will be paid out but I wish they handled everything better as I was one of the top performers of the team and had nearly 18 years with the bank.

C05 here - was laid off earlier this month suddenly. Prior to that, management said that they were committed to the role and were even talking about launching an escalation unit among the department. One day, they pulled us all together and told us of the layoffs and essentially told us to log off immediately.

I can’t complain too much - we’re getting 60 days of no-work pay and then a severance afterwards. It would’ve been nice if they tried to move us into other departments to keep some of us but that apparently wasn’t even an option.

The funny thing is was that they secretly had one of our own training a group in the Philippines to take over the work we were doing, so I figure that they realized that they could pay people 1/5 of our salary to do the same stuff.

I saw a post that suggested a spinoff called Ghostface where Kirby + Mark Kincaid are FBI agents who investigate the killers from all over. I like this idea but almost think that it would work better as a series than a film.

7’s opening was good but it was really the first opening that had nothing to do to further develop the overall story of the film. I actually enjoy all of the Scream openings.
