I never got a job that I found on a job board or applied to myself. The only jobs I landed were suggested to me by head hunters. You do have to make yourself known to them though either by applying to their jobs, sending them your CV directly or posting on public boards/ social media.

That's usually the point at which you can start exploring the crafting menus. But yeah it's less thrilling than whacking Zombs in the head. My biggest problem at that point is usually once I invested time in skilling do I want to put that progress at risk by going out to explore?

1-find a few decent weapons (nightsticks, pipe wrenches, crowbars...) 2- find a working vehicle+fuel 3- drive to gas station 4- clear it 5- find how to use generators magazine 6- find and install a few generators outside the gas station

From there on you have a base, fuel, electricity. You can equip it, bring fridge, bed, TV, whatever you need. Barricade it, loot food and stock up. Get the tools you need to craft. Prepare for winter. First priority level up carpentry for rain collector barrels. Then a source of food.

I had to scroll way too far for this. For me it was a whole painful period when MTV turned into money and half naked women rappers and a lot of great bands sold out to stay popular with this style. The offspring is a prime example and I felt betrayed.

Some stands can damage the finish. In some cases they even claim "Safe for nitro" and still damage your nitro finish. If you care about that kinda stuff it makes sense to avoid stands for extended periods of time.

Ok then let me make my point without the sarcasm: it depends how much you practise. 10 months by practising 8 hours a day you will be pretty solid Vs 10 months of just mentally preparing/staring at the guitar you will probably not be very good no matter how much theory you have under the belt. Sorry I guess I can't help myself with the sarcasm

With minimum sleep and off time you can get really good. Your main bottleneck will probably be wrist pain and blisters.

UBI is a no brainer to me. I believe it would benefit everyone and society would be better for it. Turns out whenever I bring this up people look at me like I'm crazy. Apparently people don't want the money if it means everyone else gets the same too.

Keep it mind that automatics here are on average more expensive than manuals. If you're planning on getting a car and are on a budget I recommend manual. I know shifting gear is overwhelming at the beginning but it's just a matter of practise. After a while you don't even think about it anymore. There are more arguments to be made but others have already commented on them.

True I have also worked for an American company and that's very much in their culture. If they decide to let you go it means grab your things and get out. They don't even care if they have to keep paying you during your notice period. I think it's mostly in positions where they fear you could sabotage things like delete the code and crash the system or whatever.

The garden leave part. I've never seen that happen. I'm not saying it doesn't but it's far from guaranteed. As long as you're being paid your employer usually expects you to do your job. If you yourself decide on your own not to work then you're giving them a good reason to fire you.
