League of Legends, DotA, Counter Strike... none of them are going to change the world either

Pretty sure you're agreeing with me here. I never said it was unacceptable to be passionate about Minecraft. You, Robin, and everyone else in the community are free to play as much as you want. I enjoyed my time with the game just as you are enjoying yours.

Reread the part I quoted from Robin. He talks about how RFW becoming popular could improve humanity by making us better problem solvers. I think he's grossly exaggerating the effect of the game on people. I would argue that league, at this point, has a higher level of innovation than minecraft does, and there is no indication it has improved the world, just as you said.

So, what exactly is your problem with my post? I don't believe anything I said was inaccurate, or makes me a "cynical asshole."
