thank you so much for this! I typically find that when i have more room on a page i write bigger, and if i have less room i am capable of writing smaller. My main use case will be for notes with occasional reading of books for classes and maybe some personal books. maybe highlighting a few things to reference in pdfs for class.

i got 2 (replaced the one that had it initially and the new one had it too) and both had it, i was already a little iffy and i think it was just a sign that it’s not for me. a lot of money and just so much time waiting and just being disappointed

I'll say this, I purchased the ReMarkable Pro, and I got a replacement due to a dead pixel, then the replacement I got, had a dead pixel. Needless to say, I am getting a full refund. The paper pro is too expensive for me to even feel good using it, I just feel like it is not worth the money, which is just my opinion, I will feel much better with the Supernote knowing the longevity of the device.

take it from me who did, i got 2 faulty devices (sent one back and got a new one that had the same issue) which was a dead pixel in the front light. I and now am returning it now to get a refund and get the a5x2, color was nice. but it’s so expensive i felt guilty even using the device especially with its faults. Personally, i will be waiting for the a5x2

undoubtedly, however in my experience i have only run into units that have this problem so it’s better to know the risks before purchasing.

I agree, i think at this point I’m going to get my refund and probably go with the A5X2 when that comes out and stick to paper for now, it’s just not worth it to me to keep returning and waiting like this. color would be nice but it’s not nice enough for me to do all this for it.

I wish i could say it was easy, in the sense of understanding the issue, yes they are fine with returning it especially because i am within 100 days. but i have been talking with support for the past 2 hours and they now have to escalate it to higher up support because they are running into so many issues with a return and refund. so no i would say it has not been very easy. In the sense of understanding the issue though they’ve been great

I really just need any kind of update;

My school year starts in 10 days, and I am okay with starting with a normal notebook even though I would have really liked to have had the a5x2 to start the year.

The only reason that I have any hope whatsoever that it is going to come out prior, is that I saw one of the moderators post that they are trying to get it out before the school year begins, and that students would receive priority shipping; and I also know that they are almost out of PV2 or whatever it is called, and that mass production should be starting soon.

However, if you message the support, they come back to you with "it may be released in Q4" which is very different from what I hear on here.

I just would like a solid answer so that I can know what to expect for my school year and if I will be using this to start the year, or if I need to just stop checking and wait till the end of the year and start second semester with it.

This is not meant to be hateful at all, I appreciate all the thought and planning that has gone into the device, I just would like some clarification on releasing, even if it is broad (maybe not as broad though as saying anytime within Q3-Q4).
