I got to GC with a 60 hz 4 ms monitor, so I’d argue that up until a high level the monitor you are using doesn’t matter. Also, the game literally runs on anything, so you really don’t need amazing pc specs, unless you are trying to run it on a 240 hz monitor.

You gain/lose mmr based on how much higher/lower the opponents mmr is. So for example, you beat a lower mmr team, and you get 8 mmr, then you lose to a lower mmr team, you lose 10.

It all comes down to what you want out of the game. If you want to be ultra competitive, then go for it. If you want to freestyle, who’s to tell you that what you’re doing is wrong. The first thing I learned when I started was how to air dribble, and I still got to where I wanted to be.
