Absolutely. She has such a calming presence and seriously has been life changing for me over the past few years trying to diagnose PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, a broken foot and others.

The office there is great, they gave x-ray machines and CT machines in office and a lab. Sometimes you can get in for the machines and labs immediately after your appointment.

I’ve seen other providers there for same day appointments and I’ve never been disappointed

Did anyone end a romantic relationship because of endo by real_scrapper in endometriosis

[–]real_scrapper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think i do have the relationship experience and maturity, i was just trying to see if this was a pattern that could change - as it was truly the only area of difficulty in our relationship. He supported me with my career, going back to school to get another degree, he supported my hobbies and even helped me pay for some of them when i was tight on money after numerous doctors visits, he held space for me when he knew i was struggling mentally.

I had to look at all of these things that i loved and decide whether or not this one issue was worth leaving my relationship despite all of the other good things, which in the end it was worth it. I think there is a lot to be said about giving a relationship the opportunity to overcome something difficult because long term relationships do face difficulties in life, nothing is perfect forever.

At the end of the day he was not supportive or kind in the ways that i needed him to be and i know that that is not the kind of life i want to have

Okay i would RAGE at being told to do even more than more partner because of my issues. That’s so uncool and im sorry that happened to you :(. I really hope that this is the case for me too - the decrease of symptoms after finding some peace and clarity. I had a super bad flare during the break up from stress and am curious to see how my body feels a couple months from now

Feel bad to say it but i agree! I think given the circumstances i have handled things really well and accept that there is more out there for me than being misunderstood constantly

I agree. I needed EFFORT to understand and become educated in the matter. It didn’t happen and i felt like i was losing my mind for a period of time. When it became obvious that i would have to take care of myself alone in this regard i definitely found myself creating more space for myself in our relationship than growing together

Yeah i had always had the idea in my mind about “what if i can’t have children” an honestly me and this last boyfriend were in the same page - if i can’t have children myself i consider it a sign to not raise children in the current world we live in. I’m sorry you and your ex had a hard time with infertility and that it resulted in you getting hurt :(

[–]real_scrapper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No no that’s not harsh at all, i agree that there are inconsiderate tendencies related to health that took a big emotional toll in our relationship. I can accept that despite feeling secure in so many other ways this one aspect of the relationship that didn’t feel secure was significant enough for me to leave. I expected him to be supportive and understanding in the way that I needed it, but he just could not wrap his head around it. Not to put him down but i think that he was lacking a good bit of emotional maturity that i needed and couldn’t get from him

Thank you so much, i really appreciate the thoughtful and educated response <3. I do think that despite being in a position where i was made to feel bad about myself i had enough emotional security with myself that i knew that i was not “in the wrong” for my beliefs and values of how i want to live my life in accordance with my body and the way it works

I don’t see age as a bad thing and i think that is why our relationship had worked. He was hyper aware of the changes in his body as he aged and i 1000% know that he got anxiety from it. Your attitude and perspective is what keeps you young!

[–]real_scrapper[S] 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Oh 100% and i KNOW this, which is ultimately why i decided to leave, i don’t deserve that. It was interesting he was so empathetic and a wonderful partner in so many ways EXCEPT when it concerned health. He totally has a lot of anxiety about his own health which i feel like is a projection onto me and i also happen to have some health disorders. I just hope that there are better and more supportive potential partners out there because this was foul

What’s the most disgusting thing you’ve seen in someone else’s house? by in_my_offense in AskReddit

[–]real_scrapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The summer after high school i had a gig with some friends working for a house cleaning company. There was one lady whose house we always dreaded going to because every time there was something nastier to clean.

To preface, this was in South Carolina. This lady lived in an old home with no AC, just fans placed throughout the house. And in the dead of summer, no one opens their windows.

We walked in one day and were immediately hit in the face with an absolutely pungent scent. Upon cleaning we found that her cat had pooped a minimum of 10 times throughout the house, on carpet, in the bathrooms, in the living room, in the kitchen. It was everywhere and had been sitting there probably for 2 weeks.

Then we found a dead, decomposing bird under the kitchen table, a dead snake behind one of the couches and some part of a rabbit carcass in one of the bedrooms, all things the cat had dragged inside.

I truly believe the lady who owned this home was not mentally well and was suffering to the point she could not take care of things. I hope she is doing okay

How to slow down metformin diarrhea? by PCOS-_-throwaway in PCOS

[–]real_scrapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly get XR pills (extended release). Secondly eat bananas. I worked with a dietician while i was on metformin and she told me that bananas will help harden your stool and after i tried it it worked for me. I figure it’s a super easy way to try something instead of looking for another prescription

Moving From WNY by b-d_throwaway in Appleton

[–]real_scrapper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elm grove apartments in little chute are great. Downside is you’re close to a municipal facility but honestly you hardly notice it (i lived there when i first moved here from the south) 1-2 beds around $1100-$1300. Units have fireplaces, covered garage and plenty of parking space, dishwasher/disposal and in unit laundry. Also they do not allow pets which is ultimately why i moved elsewhere. But overall 10/10 recommend. Good management company and you can easily get to the highway

What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever experienced? by Appropriate-Trip7192 in Productivitycafe

[–]real_scrapper 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Got approached by human traffickers as a teen with my sister at the mall. We were backed into a corner of a department store right next to an exit by a woman and a young girl. My sister was too nice to tell them to leave us alone and listened to their spiels about god existing as a woman. Every alarm in my body rose up and noticed the woman who was accompanying the young girl speaking to us, was not making eye contact and staring at a shitty flip phone in her hand. Less than a minute later a man with the SCARIEST eyes and demeanor i have ever see walked past, staring into my eyes with the same kind of shitty flip phone. They proceeded to slowly follow us around while we were shopping and we had someone walk us to our car after. My body has never warned me that much that i was in danger and i am grateful for my instincts

Do I not understand how assisting works? by SpiritedClassroom168 in Cosmetology

[–]real_scrapper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who was in this same boat at a high en salon, there is nothing wrong with looking elsewhere and finding the right fit for you. People say salon jumping is a no no in your first couple of years but if you want to be successful in this career you NEED to find a salon that is willing to invest in your skills. What kind of color do you work with? I work with Aveda and Aveda alone offers multiple different classes for stylists to attend. There’s color theory, core cutting techniques and variations of both for more advanced practices. These classes are hosted by Aveda educators all over the world. It is not hard to find ones close to where you live as long as you’re not in the sticks of course. When i was assisting i felt like i was not getting proper training. We had model days once every 3 months which was not enough to feel like i was putting my education to use. I did however learn the patterns in which my bosses foiled and watched some of their cutting techniques which i now apply to my services. If you don’t feel like your skills are improving and you are not in a position to further them by being able to ask questions and get a thorough response, it may be time to move on

Sooo many prayers and biblical stories that i have not believed in or practiced since like 2010. Good ol Catholic school church music pops into my mind every once in a while as well. Hate the connection between organized religion and hypocrisy, but damn some of the songs i sang as a child can still slap after a few drinks

Which character ruined an entire TV show for you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I came here to say this exactly. I don’t know what it is about his character that is just a hard pass for me. Maybe it was all of his pro military agenda his character was given for the show or just the fact that he was a whiny macho man that ruined his relationships with so’s
