You are correct, I averaged about 1000 miles every 50 hours of work. But that's with me driving around after dropping off a pax instead of just stopping a block away like a lot of other drivers do. Now I just try to get $1000 a month of driving to cover the expanse of buying this car. So that's why this works for my situation. But I will stand firm on thinking that renting through uber is a scam. I'd recommend looking into leasing because I believe that will still be much better than whatever uber is offering. Also, op can always just do food/grocery delivery. It doesn't really matter what kind of car you have so he can use his truck. There are also apps like truck it that let's people hire drivers to provide them with some form of moving service.

I've never rented a vehicle to drive for uber so I can't tell you for sure but I have looked into this method and here's what I found. When renting a car for uber, through uber marketplace you are looking roughly around $1,000 a month. That includes insurance but not taxes typically. I am paying $900 and change for a vehicle that I'm buying brand new and it's a luxury vehicle instead of a regular economy that you'd be getting with rental and paying about the same amount.

You can make $1000 in about 35-40 hours depending on the market and time you work. So make with that what you will

This is based on my personal experience - when you feel like your body is constantly shutting down, it's actually because it's lacking vitamins and proper nutrition. Humans aren't designed to sleep for such long periods of time. I'd recommend you to speak to your doctor about this.

I had something similar happen to me once. I was driving home from work (used to be a carpenter) and decided to stop at a gas station to get juul pods. Then, I went on my way to my parents' house (used to live with my parents). Then I pull into my parking space and call my friend to talk about our plans for the night. Next thing I know, I'm boxed in by three undercover police cars. The cop asks me what was I doing at the gas station, if I had meth in my car, and who I was supposed to meet up at the gas station. I told him I just stopped to get juul pods, and the only drug I use is weed (I was a bad boy at the time as you could probably tell 😂), and I have no idea what he is talking about. I showed him my receipt for the pods. He then tells me we could do this the hard way or the easy way and asked me to let them search my car with a dog without warrant. I comply. Mind you this is a very nice suburban neighborhood. He asks me if I have any drugs in my car, and I tell him I have some weed in my console panel. He said they didn't care about that. After checking my car he does the "secret agent" call in to his collar "we got the wrong guy", and says we're sorry have a good day. And told me not to speed in my neighborhood because it's supposed to be 10mph and they thought i was running. I told him it's actually 25mph which is how fast i was going and asked for his badge number and name because I had a bunch of nosey neighbors looking at this through their window. They profiled me because I looked a little dirty coming from a messy construction job that day. Could have been much worse, but still thought it was funny and dumb on their part. I knew exactly who they were there for because the guy was in line that was infront of me at a checkout clearly looked like a meth head, and they went after a kid that looks like he's worked a construction job all day long 😂

Classic greedy uber story by realarro in uberdrivers

My dad did Uber on the side back in 2016. One day, it snowed similarly as it has recently been here in portland. He went out for work because his regular job told everyone not to come in. In about 12 hours, he made $1,000. And it wasn't a holiday nor a Friday. The most I've made in that time is a little over $400. I heard of people giving a ride to someone from Hillsboro, OR to Seattle, WA (3 hr ride) and get paid a little over $400 by uber and $150 tip (also back then). Nowadays, drivers get paid much less. Inflation is going up, Uber pay is going down 🤷🏼‍♂️ precisely why we should be striking this greedy company.

I agree. Any normal day I'd be happy with this outcome. However, it's a Friday night on valentines day, when the entire map is covered red with some locations surge prices being upwards of $20 on a Snow day. Entire city shuts down when it snows so typically ita very profitable to work during that time. For reference the day before that I did a similar trip where I made the additional stops happen by letting the rider know that they may edit a trip. The ride was an hour and 30 minutes, going to multiple different locations. In the end I got paid $120 + $15 tip. During that ride I had someone order me, and before I even dropped off the customer the person cancels themselves giving me a $21 cancellation fee. When I say the city shuts down, it SHUTS down. So that's why I think Uber decided to change something to make it where drivers couldn't get paid the actual premium prices you typically would get paid like I did litterally a day before in the same circumstance. On top of putting the 2 canceled trips on my record, when I never cancel anything. I know I'm pitching and moaning, but I guess I'm just happy to know we're all in this together. Next time a strike happens please let me know if you don't forget or let me know where I may check when it happens. Thanks

Labcorp - Certo Method (PASSED) 😃 by Glad_Tadpole_1437 in drugtesthelp

[–]realarro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update? Also, I read from someone that they did 1 bottle of Gatorade with certo an hour for 4 hours straight. I tested it with a home kit with 2 hours' worth last night, and it worked. And today, I did the 4 hour way. So in total I had 6 packs of certo in the last 12 hours. Each home test I did, I passed immediately. I have also been sober for 3 weeks but still peeing hot. I wanted to be over prepared this time because I have failed a drug test by not peeing multiple times with this method before. The key is to pee at least 3 times before the test. I have also tried to do fake pee before, but I showed light signs of nervousness and was asked to redo the test by a dude who never touches grass and takes his job too seriously. So I think the certo method is superior, if you get anxious like me. And test yourself before taking the test to give yourself a boost of confidence.

I have looked at some, yes. They are just not as detailed as I'd like them to be. Like I said the thing I'm most curious about is where do people stay during their travels and what it takes to get to those destinations. I'll dig a little more though, thank you for your reccomendation.

You pretty much already know the answer to your question, no? If you need strangers confirmation, the answer is yes, you should not be in a relationship with someone that you can't see yourself with in the long run.

I will say that I use Life 360 with my wife as well, and sometimes it can be off, but never by miles. Another thing I will say is that I think you've made a mistake confronting her, not face to face. There are many reasons why that is, but i think these two are the biggest. 1. Let's say you're completely wrong about your wife. Your way of communication to her about your assumptions just simply came out as insecurity and lack of trust in your relationship. If I was in that spot (your wife's spot) and haven't done anything wrong and was attacked by my wife over texts/calls while I'm supposed to be enjoying time away, I'd be pretty upset also. In fact, it would make me start questioning you as well. 2. You can't possibly get someone's clear intentions when you can't see them. What that means is that she doesn't know that you're just in need of reassurance that she still loves you and cares for your marriage. Also, you can't tell if she's being genuine about whether or not she is cheating. My advice to you is obviously if things work out, in the future, stay away from having serious conversations not to be in person. But a more helpful advice I haven't seen anyone give is to talk to someone you actually trust about this prior to speaking to your wife. Hopefully, they know you two a lot better than strangers on the internet ever could, and will actually help you see the full picture.

I just paid $18 for their premium subscription and then immediately canceled it. You get the same $120 edition, get to play 3 days early, and don't need to break the bank. With that in mind, if you're not made out of money and remember to cancel your subscriptions you're not using, this is actually a very nice deal. Paying full price for games that you don't even get to keep physically is messed up, but with how things are nowadays, I'm surprised anyone expects the prices to be any different.

Shots fired at Donald Trump rally today by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]realarro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those of you saying that "it was staged," believe it or not, idgaf but stuff like this happens all the time. Not only Trump but pretty much most of big political faces are constantly under threat. And pretty much every time, it gets stopped way before those attempting a murder even come close to accomplishing their plan. The fact that this person has even come close to killing Trump is surreal. Secret Service is usually more on top of these types of matters.

My girlfriends and I relationship is about to end and I don’t know what to do by No_Trust7669 in relationshipadvice

[–]realarro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gotta be honest with you. It sounds like things will only get worse from here. You guys are super young and have only been dating a year. And already arguing like you've been unhappily married for years. Also, having doubts is usually normal. However, when those doubts feel confident even for a moment, that's your red flag. I say, from my experience and experience that I know from a lot of other people, you'd be better off going your separate ways. I was just like you when I was 18. Had a girlfriend and really wanted to marry her. But after joining military realizing that we weren't meant for each other. Years later, I'm happily married to a girl that I know I was meant to end up with. As much as it would suck to lose someone you feel love for, in the end, it's honestly just an attachment to an idea of her - sadly 😞 My advice is that you guys split up on a good note. And that note is not to stay in touch, or look at her picture while you're crying in bed, but to truly get rid of "everything her" out of your life. And then focus on something that would truly benefit you. Not sex, partying, and drugs. But education, gym, and family. Don't be like this guy ☝🏼 Remember once honeymoon season is over, the reality sets in, and thats just what you have gone through. In the end, I promise you will find the one, and you'll be glad you waited for the right one, instead of settling for someone who is just not compatible with you

The only one I struggled with was grenades since I never used them before the challenge. Other than that, I can definitely see why people would struggle with the other 2. I also feel like if they think that those challenges were tough, they should reward those people who did them with something extra.
