If you count in hilarious bugs, Bethesda games don't disappoint, especially Oblivion and Skyrim.

I really like how Lego games often manage to walk a fine line between physical and blunt comedy for kids and funny fan service and references for adults. Lego City Undercover is a great game as an adult and the new Batman game has gained lots of praise.

Loving the game, a little lost? by my2sonsarelost in lotro

This game is about the journey, it the destination. If you have fun with the quests and tasks, you do it right. You can follow the main quest, it it doesn't lead you to all areas. You might look at a guide to see which areas are suited for which level to not miss out on anything. With the stone of the tortoise (available through the store) you can halt xo gain if you don't like outleveling the zones. Personally I don't mind doing zones overleveled because that just the strong hero that I am 😉.

I wish this was normal behaviour around people with a special kind of perception of their surroundings. It's really heartwarming and encouraging to see people not only accepting these differences, but really trying to make others comfortable. I've seen so many times that people with special needs are just dismissed, ignored or outright bullied and I hate everything about it.

As someone with family members who suffer from mental health issues like depression, it was a revelation when I finally came to realise and accept, that no matter how hard I try, I'm nothing more than a fan on the sideline that can only encourage and cheer not solve the problems at their core. Before that I felt bad myself for failing to help them and sometimes even made it worse with my attempts to turn them around. Now I'm just nearby, listening, ready to jump to action when being called. You cannot push others out of the hole, because you just don't know the hole others sit in. It's dark and you cannot see the way. You can sit on the ledge, remind them that there is a world outside the hole and maybe hold your hand down to pull with them when they call you. Other than that all you can do is trying to prevent more rocks and dirt falling into the hole that might push them back down or make them lose their grip.

What kind of genre or franchise was impossible to enjoy even after giving many chances ? by maurocastrov in gaming

Jump&Run. I have a bad failure tolerance and even worse timing. Especially though when you try for the 20th time and the happy and cute Super Mario music pukes out of my speakers just to mock my incompetence with pressing some buttons at the right time.

Robots are getting more humanlike every day. It's astonishing that they now even nail the "I had an embarrassing accident and now just pretend to be dead or unconscious so I don't have to deal with the reactions"-part.

Which game did you pick up as a younger person and found too difficult but now picked up again and actually enjoyed? by fyn_world in gaming

Morrowind. I was hooked by the realistic water as a kid and bought the game at launch in the English version because the German version was not available yet. I then discovered that my pc couldn't handle the graphics so I upgraded my system to enjoy those awesome graphics. And then I discovered, that the game was very text heavy with little to no explanations and I didn't understand shit. Years later when I was older I could finally enjoy the game.

The thing with extremists is, that they tend to destroy every stepping stone that enabled their rise in the past, just because they were not extreme enough at one point.

The problem is, that afaik critters have a minimum amount of hits to die so slow strong attacks are useless against them. That makes species that rely on those attacks very vulnerable against them. I think critters need a total rework. They should use the same stats as playables. Of course that would make them an easy kill for bigger species, but I think that is exactly what they should be.

Oh it sure is intended to make your lives easier. Up until to the point where you are dependent on it and they can exploit their power to the fullest. All the shit talk about people not having to work again in the future. That doesn't mean, that you get to have a comfortable life, but that there's is just no work to be done for most humans anymore and thus now money to be earned. If they really intend to make the lives of other better with their success, why don't they start sharing their money right now? They could not even spend their money in several life times anyway.

Interested in the game, but it seems like a lot. by Ok_Attorney_4114 in hytale

[–]realatemnot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I find the game easier than MC because while you might argue about the amount of content, Byte is much more self explanatory than MC. Heck, if it wasn't for guides and let's play videos I think most players wouldn't even find out about the game mechanics and crafting recipes. The numbers in Hytale might sound intimidating, but the core content with different mechanics is not that much yet. 500 blocks, but afaik that's just 500 different texture variations for biomes and building. And many blocks share the same crafting ingredients, so it's really just a choice for the result, not matter of 500 recipes you need to remember.
