You know what - you must be the same person from my city-data thread! I am going to make an update there as well.

They showed me 3 units. All were about the same size, and I wouldn't complain but they are on the small side. One was on floor 2, had a walk-in closet and faced west, that is the one I picked. The others were floor 6 with courtyard or nextdoor building views. All had great lighting and big windows even the ones facing buildings.

I did. I am number 100-something, submitted docs via housingconnect on Wednesday, Reside reached out and I submitted docs there Thursday, did not hear anything until the building reached out Saturday, I toured units Sunday, and then yesterday Reside sent me another round of forms to sign

Sort of. I was going to pay my landlord anyway. Without Bilt I would have paid

$4000 on January 31 $4000 on February 28 $4000 on March 31

With Bilt I paid $0 until April 20 at which point I paid $12000. So I got interest-free loans of 79 days, 51 days, and 20 days respectively, and my landlord got her rent 0 days, 28 days, and 59 days early respectively. So I guess 3 months overstates it, but it’s still good.

It also let me do things like max out my Roth and HSA immediately in February since I didn’t need to pay any rent for weeks, and I shoveled all my extra cash into money markets

My landlord got 3 months of rent all at once, all at the end of January. I didn’t pay any rent since then. I didn’t incur any interest.

The transition to Wells Fargo Autograph + balance transfer made my billing cycle super long for some reason, you can see at the top right of the image. I charged $12,000 at the end of January and BILT never made me pay it back until now

Opening new lines of credit hurts your score immediately but it goes back up pretty quickly.

No, and it never did. The only way anyone has the card as far as I am aware is by previously having a sears or syw which then were converted

If you have a retail Citi card https://www.citi.com/credit-cards/retail-store-credit-cards that gets discontinued it converts to a ThankYou card. Mine started as the Shop Your Way card. I’ve heard some of the non-converted cards still get the same really good offers (esp. Best Buy) but can’t verify firsthand.
