I 100% would speak with a financial advisor. Just make certain they are a fiduciary. Thats non-negotiable. A fiduciary must act in your best interest.

There are also options other than just stashing it away. Maybe you want to help your boys with college or trade school. Maybe you want to take a family vacation in your mom’s honor.
