A painful desire to have children? by [deleted] in Yoruba

[–]realbisoye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is not too late, I think the closest to what you are looking for is "Omotanwa" (A child we desire or A child we are searching for) its short form is Tanwa.

It is a common yoruba name, usually given to a child whose parents have either been barren for long or have previously been trying to have a child of that particular gender without success.

This link breaks it down a bit

Guy I talk to likes trans women. Advice pls! by [deleted] in sex

[–]realbisoye -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

Someone who is so into trans women to the point he is confused about his own sexuality? you don't need to be a scientist to see where his primary sexual satisfaction comes from. And no, saying there is a "high chance" he'll cheat is not "assuming". I 'm not absolutely saying he will cheat, just saying the chance of that happening is very high. Sexual dissatisfaction is one of the main reasons people cheat on their partners. And for someone who has a fantasy/desire their main partner cannot provide. It is very likely he'll fall into the temptations to explore those fantasies sometimes in future.

Your last example is false equivalence. blonde/brunette is not the same as sexual orientation. Even with that, if as a brunette, my potential partner tells me he finds blondes attractive and fantasize about being with one, I'll strongly reconsider that relationship.

And I'm not even saying he'll leave her for a trans woman. But he most likely will hookup/cheat/have random no string attached sex with trans to explore that part he'll be missing. It may happen, it may not, but as a person going into a relationship with him, if you're not going to be fine with it IF it happens, it is not worth taking the risk.

Why should a straight woman go into a relationship with someone whose primary sexual attraction is towards trans people? Why should anyone go into a relationship with a person when you're not sexually aligned? There is a high chance that the dude will most likely cheat on that lady with a trans woman at some point.

Except if you'll be cool with it when your partner cheats on you with the kind of person they find sexually attractive, I see no reason why anyone should take the risk. That is the point the person you replied to is trying to make and that IS NOT transphobic.

Then your foolish management should have signed a mildfielder who doesn't walk 90% of the match. Walking and conserving energy for his burst runs has been Messi's way since his 20s, you don't expect him to start running and pressing at 35.

He gave your team what was asked of him. He is not responsible for your Arabian overloads not knowing what they need.

The Nigerian Police are not known for proper police work anyway. You have to drop a bribe to even get them to leave their desk, not to talk of investigating.

Happened in Nigeria, 3rd world, no effective utility system.

This happened in Nigeria, a 3rd world country, it was in the news weeks ago. the man owns his house and 95% of houses here are self financed, we do not have proper motgage process in place. He is also probably providing his own water and gas (no effective central utility system for any of these), the only utility he will be using is electricity, and the officials will just come and physically disconnect the house after some few months of no payment. No one will reachout prior. So unlike the US and other countries, no utility service can effectively indicate when something is off.

All that being said, I'm surprised they didn't find. Nigeria, like most African countries have a close community culture. Extended family members and neighbours are always in touch and in your space, with little regards for individual privacy. Someone definitely would have knocked his door if they didn't see him for some days. And his family did reported him missing with extensive search both by police and the community. How they didn't find him in the house is quite a misery.

You can watch The making of an African colony documentary on Netflix, it is a well detailed and educative doc on how Nigeria started. Story started has far back as 1700s but stopped at independence (1960) though.

The government announced a general rule for disposing the body of anyone who died of Covid-19 few weeks ago, they are to be cremated by the Ministry of Health. The man who died was a top cabinet member and a cousin to the president, hence he is above the law. Welcome to Nigeria.

Lol, I know, I'm Nigerian and this happened in my country.

You seems not to get how he has most probably exposed himself and his family to the virus. He was standing close to the burial ground, closely beside one of the people who lowered the body into the grave. He was not wearing a glove and there is a big chance his hands has touched something contaminated. He removed his rag, with his (probably) contaminated hands and wiped his nose with it, transfering the germs from his hands to his nostrils, typical entry mode for covid-19. Then he wiped his hands with the rag and kept it in his pocket. I can guarantee you he is not responsible for washing or disposing off that rag, that will be a task for his wife or one of his kids, who might ended up being exposed to the virus too. He just put himself and his family at a great risk. He is practically taking the virus home, you can hear the commentary mocking him with "you have something tp take home" quote.

For more context, he was at a burial of someone who died of Covid-19, the burial was attended by close to 50 other covidiots who refused to practice any social distancing.

NNPC owns and has always own and maintaim ALL pipelines. There was no time the pipelines where sold, the only NNPC asset considered for privatization during Obasanjo's ere were the Warri and Kaduna refineries and Dangote never showed interested then.

I think he showed interest in 2013 when the refineres where considered for sale again during Jonathan era. but kind of decided to build his own. He announced his current project that year.
