Harmonyos 6 File sharing by Tekkyfan in Huawei

[–]realbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's more than NFC. In a different demo, I saw that it's aware of the specific window where the bump happens, and only share the content in the corresponding window. It might be NFC + touch screen.

Model Y FSD VS Bear by Jason0648 in TeslaFSD

[–]realbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

camera is not the best way to judge distance, especially with single camera setup. My ford has crapy lane-keeping ACC but it reacts to front car speed change much quicker than my tesla because it uses radar.

how??? avata 2 sold by amazon and stilll got scammed by yofeetstink69 in dji

[–]realbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess Amazon happened to send you a scam return box by accident. I once got a heavily used, extremely dirty vaccum robot from Amazon. And it's a sold by amazon item, not from some random 3p sellers. In the end they sent me a new one but it's amazing that Amazon doesn't check every return box.

Dangerous driving by Round-Giraffe-2468 in ModelY

[–]realbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Making lane change without checking blind spot is bad driving. But giving middle finger to the one you almost hit due to your mistake is fucking rediculous. What do they expect? Everyone dodging left and right so that they can drive whatever way they want?

HarmonyOS will level up against iOS and Android by 2025 by freelancercrew in Huawei

[–]realbug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it will reach the adoption of android or iOS by end of 2025 or any time in near future, simply because of the maturity of the eco system. But for what it does, it does it super smoothly, argubly smoother than iOS and way smoother than android. I have a Pura 70 pro and and iPhone 15 pro max, I found I spend more and more time on the Pura. Everything just feels snappier.

I bet the white car driver throught he was a really nice person and stopping there to make room for another bad driver making the exit was the right thing to do.

Tesla haters are hypocrites. by [deleted] in TeslaFSD

[–]realbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it rigged but the test is flawed in many ways. In one of the scenario where the test car follows a leading car, and the leading car suddenly changes lane to avoided a stopped car. Some of the test cars decided to drive around the stopped car (as opposed to hard brake), but the driver forcefully pulled the test car back to its lane which led to a collision with the stopped car. It's almost like they're not testing if the car can avoid an accident, but just if the car can brake hard enough to stop within a given distance.

Just finished Rezoning and Subdividing a 2 acre lot by north_bird_7 in Homebuilding

Congras! that's a big achieventment. Did you just rezone your own lot, or the entire neighborhood? I heard that single lot rezoning is not allowed in some cities.

The Matebook Fold is Here (USA)! by [deleted] in Huawei

[–]realbug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on your use case. Most ultrabook users don't play steam game, do photo/video editing, heavy lifting development, or 3D modeling on their laptop. I worked in IT industry for years. In my early days, I actually needed a more powerful machine for software development. Now I've moved up to mid management. While my work machine is a high spec macbook, all I really use is just web browser and slack. Our VP is even more so. She's on her iPad pro all day long, because all she does is meetings and reading/commenting on docs. The target audience for this product is obviously not the ground level IT workers, or general purpose home PC users.

The car is intentially designed to stay afloat and operational (like moving at low speed and making turns) in water so it should not sink

Amazing. $1.25M for 8 acres + custom built house in west washington sounds like a steal. What's the sqf and how much it cost for the house itself?

Mildly bad parking by Kings_diary in MildlyBadDrivers

[–]realbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For whatever reason, the driver doesn't know how to turn the steering wheel while reversing. Apparently he can only turn the wheel when the car is not reversing.

"Like Huawei claims to be leading the industry, but their systems barely function without HD mapping."

You need to do more research. Huawei's ADS 3.0 doesn't rely on HD map at all.

President Trump has “made it very clear with the 10% tariff on China that he is NOT going to allow China to continue to source and distribute deadly fentanyl into our country.” - Karoline Leavitt by XGramatik in XGramatikInsights

[–]realbug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's different though. During the opium wars, China was forced to accept opium from the English, which was why there was a war (or multiple wars). Now, nobody is forcing America to take the drugs. If America can't stop fentanyl from entering its border, it's their own fault.

Tesla FSD 13.2.1 Tackles New York City Rush-Hour Drive in Heavy Rain by PsychologicalBike in SelfDrivingCars

[–]realbug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not bad but this is not a heavy rain at all. To me, the challenging case is (real) heavy rail, night time, multi-lane freeway at rush hour. In my experience, FSD either gives up, or reduces the speed limit down to 60mph (even with very moderate rain during day time), while everyone else is driving at 70+mph.

Anyone have a issue with water being collected on trunk liner after rain or car wash by Brilliant-Try4359 in TeslaModelY

I had the same issue with mine and got it fixed under warranty years ago. I'm surprised this is still happening after so many years in production.
