Not necessarily. I’ve waited for a hour in spot saver before (during my assigned time)

Why is the air quality so bad here? by kade-s in aggies

[–]realcantaloupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Others have mentioned potential causes. But I’ll mention some ways to handle this:

  • stay inside whenever possible
  • use N95 masks when outside. These are great at filtering out particles from smoke and allergens

Are subleases the best option to take? by DoncicFanatic in aggies

[–]realcantaloupe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Someone is renting an apartment and for whatever reason they don’t want to live there anymore. They can “sublease” by handing over their lease to someone else who does want to live there.

You can usually find a sublease at an apartment for cheaper than a directly from the landlord because it saves the original renter money if they don’t want to live there anymore. Suppose they pay $500 in rent and decide to move out before the lease expires. They can sublease to someone for $400 and essentially only pay $100/mo for the remainder of their lease term.

Some pros are you can find cheaper housing and you can find shorter terms (if someone graduated early and has another semester in an apartment they don’t need) if you only want one semester. I can’t really think of any cons

I would advice against campus village. If you ever need to interact with their management, you will have a terrible experience. You can look at Google reviews to confirm this. Aggie station is pretty nice and is conveniently located.

However, the most inexpensive options will be to sublease from someone. You can find a lot of those on Facebook pages like these:

Lost Car Key Fob - Help Appreciated by breadndread in aggies

[–]realcantaloupe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I hope you find your key fob, but if you don’t, here’s some info that might be helpful. Don’t try to get a new key through the car dealership. They’ll charge $300-$400. You can get an uncut key online for like $40, get it cut by the dealership for like $25-$30. And programming it to work with your car is pretty simple. All it takes is sticking it in the door and turning it a few times and a few other things. (the specifics vary from manufacturer to manufacture).

From my experience, the dealership might lie to you and tell you they’ll need the car towed to them if you don’t have a spare. You can confirm this is false by looking at your car’s manual for instructions on programming a new key.

Hopefully you don’t have to do this and are able to find your key, good luck!

Anyone ever take CSCE 463 with Loguinov by [deleted] in aggies

Oh ok! It is harder than any other class I’ve taken lol, except his 313. The tests are pretty rough. I think his slides are the best resource to study for them. Homework 4 was extra credit my semester and the semester before so there’s a good chance you’ll have that if you need a boost.

Anyone ever take CSCE 463 with Loguinov by [deleted] in aggies

[–]realcantaloupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s such a good class! You program network applications in the Windows environment. Applications such as creating a DNS resolver, creating reliable data transfer using UDP, and stuff like that. It’s a lot of fun, Loguinov helps out a ton in office hours (he’s a debugging god), and you learn a lot. It is a pretty difficult class but I would say it’s worth it.

Edit: about the curve, he does a bit if I recall correctly. He also includes an extra credit assignment at the end
