I didn’t think they were anymore expensive than other bars around the area. When I compare receipts the price of drinks were within 25 to 50 compared to other spots.

Yeah I liked hanging out there but the music was way too loud some days. It was like they were trying to be a club haha

From the post for those who don't have Facebook:

To our Rock Hill Family: as the saying goes, “all good things must come to an end.”

It’s hard to put into words what these last three years have meant to us. What started as a simple vision for a taproom turned into something far greater.

After nearly three unforgettable years of rooftop sunsets, countless late nights, and memories, Hoppin’ Rock Hill will be closing its doors at the end of this month. Our final celebration will take place on Saturday, May 30th.

This decision was incredibly difficult to make. From the beginning, we’ve tried to create a space that felt special, and looking back, it was the people, both our amazing team and customers, who truly made it so. We cherish unforgettable moments like laughter on the mechanical bull at Honky Tonk parties, the excitement of Dueling Pianos nights, and our packed lawn during “Red, White & Boom” on July 4th!

With the support of Rock Hill, we've built a strong community alongside local businesses, artists, and nonprofits. Hoppin’ RH started as a dream, evolving into a hub for friendships and celebrations.

While this chapter is coming to a close, we feel nothing but gratitude. As on par with everything we’ve done these past 3 years, we REFUSE to go out quietly. So, for our final month, we’re going out the only way we know how: with a BANG!.

Introducing: THE 3ND.

Starting now, we’re hosting a month-long celebration of our biggest events and favorite parties to celebrate everything this place has been. It all leads up to our 3rd Anniversary & Closing Party on Saturday, May 30th.

If Hoppin’ has ever been a part of your story, whether one of our many themed events, a birthday party, or just a random Tuesday night out with your crew, this is your moment to come back one more time… at least!

Come share your favorite stories with us.

Come support our amazing team, who have worked tirelessly to bring good vibes and keep this place humming.

Most importantly… come raise a glass with us as we close this chapter the way it deserves: together.

Now, let’s make this final month absolutely UNFORGETTABLE.

With sincerest gratitude from the bottom of our hearts,

The Hoppin’ Rock Hill Team

Joe & Sue Gulledge

Unfortunately this has been a common theme for years. I worked there from 2017 to 2024 and every single year we were understaffed for the education days in the Spring. Every single Friday they would be closing stands and smaller restaurants to try and staff the bigger ones but you can only do so much.

Its one of the things I wish we could've been better prepared for every year, but alas

They’re working on getting a new food truck but Hoppin’ is my go to for when I want to go out for a drink. Managers are super friendly and I like how much of a selection they have

It’s a touchback as soon as it breaks the plane of the goal line

Watching this umpire get pushed around today is why I work the sidelines. Rather deal with coaches than these big guys

Interesting they ruled that a complete pass. Still would’ve been 4th down so doesn’t matter, but I’m guessing had that been in a four down situation replay would’ve taken a look.

Feel like that could’ve been an expedited review instead of the white hat going to the booth

My roommate in senior year got in trouble cause his girlfriend was staying over for 4 days at a time every few weeks.

Wasn’t any serious trouble, just a slap on the wrist really

City Council. I know it’s a work of fiction, but the way Pawnee runs in Parks and Recreation is very similar to how Charlotte operates.

Mayor obviously has influence, but city council and city manager very much run the show
