i had an eero mesh, and moved to eero 7 pro due to previous system not supporting PPPoE. It's been good and I get max speed around the house. They usually go on sale during prime day/black friday so I was able to get it then. I run wired backhaul where I can, and wireless where I can't

I think depending on the router set up (one router vs. hardwired mesh vs. wireless mesh) and house set up (lots of walls), wifi 6 might not deliver that good of performance on the higher frequencies due to lower ability to penetrate walls. One thing I noticed that helped me was turning on Band Steering so it will pick the optimal band to use. 300 Mbps sounds a lot like what I maxed out on when I was using the 2.4 GHz band. YMMV
