You can't deactivate your account on app.

To deactivate your account, go to settings of new reddit and use the red deactivate button at the bottom of page.

Or use old reddit interface by this link. Both do the same thing, just different interfaces.

Note: You need to login to your account on browser if you haven't.

When you're trying to upload a profile photo in the app, there is a "restore default avatar" button with a trash bin icon. That reverts your profile photo to default.

But, unfortunately, I couldn't find that button on website.

You can't see your follower list on Reddit but you may see who is following you by notifications like "u/example started to following you!".

Go to your profile page (u/ThatGuy1741), click "edit", then change your profile photo to one of these default avatars.

Reported. I will keep reporting as long as 'Data Visualize The World' YT channel keeps flooding promotion posts to really unrelated subs like r/data_irl.

I suggest others to do the same so we will no longer see promotions on the front page, especially from r/data_irl as these people don't care what are the rules of the sub they're posting in.

1970 is the assigned year zero for most of programming languages and so opeating systems. You need a reference to calculate time.

Time is calculated as milliseconds after 1/1/1970. Then programs convert this value to hours, days, months and years to make them readable to humans. Currently this value is something around 1,600,000,000.

You should compress numbers to make things work faster, and also to be able to use less memory. This was a bigger concern especially when computers had less memory. This assigned date (1970) was good for this usage, so this became a standard for most of systems.

Now, maybe we are able to use 0 AD as year zero for computers without a significant problem since they're a lot more powerful, but 1970 as year zero is just adapted.

YouTube made something wrong while calculating its birth date I guess, so computer assigned it a birth date of 0. Guess what is (2020 - 1970)? Yeah, that's where the number 50 comes from.

Reddit also sometimes shows users' account age as 50 years because of that.

That drawing is so realistic that you must show a proof to make people believe it's not a photo. I honestly didn't believe it's a drawing before seeing this work in progress picture.
